|Volunteer #46577499||Responding to SAC question...|
I see that you are a 'new' contributor to this website project - welcome!
Responding to your question ... "Is there a specific reason why you don't 'approve' edits for city, county and state of birth and death?"
Find A Grave's original mission (when I became a volunteer contributor) was just that - find/post graves of the deceased! NOT the current Ancestry.com's 'revision'... creating another genealogy website. You will note that I have entered thousands of deceased (with marker photos),and to 'edit' each one, with additional information, is quite time consuming.
I include birth/death locations (when known/provided) of the deceased, in the bio section of the page; keeping the date fields clear of this info is my preference. I no longer 'transfer' pages - due to the frequent 'pirating' practice of those receiving them ... pages have been deleted, then recreated, with my photos reappearing, credited to the transferees.
Thank you for your contact, and best wishes to you in this (often frustrating, thankless) venture!

|John Robert Slaughter Jr.||RE: Slaughter family|
I just saw the message you sent me last August. I apologize for the 9 month delay in my response, I have not been on Find a grave in some time and I am not sure that I knew how to check my messages anyway.
I am very interested in hearing the history of how we are related, I don't know any Slaughters beyond my first cousins.
My preferred email address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.
Again I apologize for the delayed response. I hope this note finds you quicker than I found yours.

|William Prentiss Clark||RE: Gerald Keith Beckham|
It was great to take those photos, I took all the surrounding Beckham grave markers there and posted them.
I went to Neshoba County School and was born a month before him, I am not sure if our paths ever crossed back then.
|Daniel Murphy||Thomas Swift|
The memorial you maintain for Thomas Swift (Find A Grave Memorial# 106751391) has an error. The memorial states that his birth was in 1724. This Thomas Swift was born about 1731, probably in Sandwich. His parents were Joseph Swift and Rebecca Clark who married in Sandwich in 1731. Unfortunately, Sandwich does not have a record of his birth. However, his birthdate is indicated on his headstone which states that he died in 1806 in his 76th year. His parentage is proven because, in his father's will, both he and his mother are identified.
There was another Thomas Swift born in 1724 in Plymouth. That Thomas Swift was the son of Thomas Swift and Thankful Morey. To add to the confusion, the Plymouth Thomas Swift married a Rebecca Clark in Plymouth in 1745. (Rebecca Clark is also the name of the mother of Thomas Swift of Sandwich.)
There were several other Thomas Swifts in the area at that time. However, all of the other Thomas Swifts were born long before or long after these two Thomas Swifts.
Are you related to Mr. Markovich and how did you verify that he died in Pennsylvania? Thank you.

Unable to provide any source or documentation and understanding the concern, I have responsibly removed the image and regret any misgivings it may have caused. Thank you.

Thank you for offering to transfer John Millington's memorial over to me. Every time I'm in Portland, I always stop by his gravesite to clean the plant and tree debris from his marker and to leave flowers and an American flag.
Appears that his first name may be Jan not John but not sure about January so I've corrected it on the memorial. His death record does say Jan.
As for birth years or days, I only had access to death dates when I did the memorials.

I have an account on Ancestry, though I had to let it go.
