Bio Photo I got the bug after my Dad died in 1997. I can't get rid of it either. ;) Not only do I do this for myself but for everyone else that I can help along the way. I belong to the Cass County, Indiana, Genealogical Society.

I noticed you have taken a lot of photographs of the Timmons family in Indiana - thank you for all of your hard work and for helping those of us out of state!
Are you related to the Timmons Family?

William Wilson Mitchell
Ms. Rush,
This is in regard to Walter Westley Mitchell/William Wilson Mitchell. William Wilson Mitchell was my gr., gr., gr. grandfather. The dates for his birth, death, and place of burial on your site are identical to what I have for William Wilson Mitchell. Also, I have copy of William's will, State of Indiana, Common Pleas Court, White County, IN 7 Sept. 1868. With a couple exceptions the survivors of William Wilson Mitchell are the same as in your posting. Also William's wife Mariah's dates are identical to yours. In the will, their children listed are: Susan Mitchell Frazier, George H. Mitchell, William S. Mitchell, James W. Mitchell, Barbara J. Mitchell York, Franklin J. H. Mitchell. Their son, John W. Mitchell (my gr., gr., grandfather), died in 1860, four years before William Wilson Mitchell's death. There is nothing in the will about a Mary Mitchell. I hope this clears up some of the confusion. Wiley davis
Wiley was my great grandfather, though I never knew him. I did know his wife, my g-grandmother. Link to her record from his record. Your suggested commentary is correct. However, I have chosen not to include because the sensitivity is suicide. Do you have some connection to them from your personal tree(s)? If so, would be interested in which branch.

Sorry for delay in responding to your request. I found this as I was cleaning off my email.

Their suggestion:
Wiley Davis, a prominent farmer near
Mohomet, committed suicide Thursday
morning, by hanging himself from a barn
rafter. Mr. Davis was fifty-five years
of age and was well known In Mansfield.
Saturday Evening, March 31, 1923.

Are you the one that's done the research on Wiley?
I'm curious about his wife.

RE: Walter Westley Mitchell
In my message I mistakenly said the headstone was for the wife. It was for the daughter Mary E. Mitchell. I want to clarify that for any who may read this message.
The White County Historical Society could not find a record for Walter Westley Mitchell. The man they have listed in this cemetery is William W. Mitchell 1802-1864.
I am not sure why William W. Mitchell's name is showing as Walter Westley Mitchell, but it is helpful for others to know he shows as William W. Mitchell on the Society records.

Thanks again for your work.

Walter Westey Mitchell
I am researching Walter Westley Mitchell Memorial #51255937. The photo attached is for his wife so there must not be a headstone for him. I have seen William Wilson Mitchell listed with this family and underneath the photo attached to his memorial is a reference to William showing on the wife's headstone.
If he does not have a headstone am wondering where you were able to find his name and dates? Do you know if he changed his name?

Any direction or help you can give would be appreciated.
Thanks for posting this information and for helping all of us in our searching.

Ms. Rush,
Thank you for your submission of my great-grandfather's obituary. I would be privileged to add it to his memorial site, with your permission.

Again, thank you!
