|Greg Propst||RE: Photo request for Deino Dourkos|
Would David and Deino related, I am thinking maybe brothers?
|Greg Propst||Photo request for Deino Dourkos|
I saw your photo request for Deino Dourkos. I went to the cemetery on Jan 22 and was given the location where Deino was buried. When I went to the location the marker was for David James Dourakos. I had the individual working there double check the location. He said that the location he gave me was correct. He said that there may not be a marker for Deino, he didn't know. They have his name spelled Dino. I would think that is something that they should have some kind of record of. They just have a hard copy listing showing name, date of death, and location in the cemetery. I was not very impressed with the help I was given, he was more concerned about the video game he was playing on his phone. I don't see David James Dourakos listed on the web site for Pleasant VM Garden. I did take a picture of his marker so I could add him and attach the picture if that's ok? Let me know.

I appears that the memorial you created for James Jerome Cushwa (Find A Grave Memorial#106087931) is a duplicate to memorial# 84042329. Would you please look into combining them as you both have good information on each one. I know it takes time and effort to put these memorials up and I appreciate what you have done. It would be very helpful if there was only one memorial for each person. Thank you for you attention to this matter,
|Shauna Yeakel Fleming||Cushwa Photos|
My name is Shauna Fleming and I am a descendant of Isaiah, John, David, and Benjamin Cushwa. I have been so excited to see all the grave stone pictures you have provided to the Find A Grave site that has helped me trace my ancestors! Thank you. I know that this requires time and effort on your part and I appreciate it very much as it would be impossible for me to go to these places myself. I am writing to seek your permission to post some of your photos on Family Search. I would give you credit as the photographer and give the Find A Grave Memorial number with each one. If this is okay with you I think it would help with some of the misinformation that is currently on the site as people would be able to actually see the headstones and refer them to the site to see all the wonderful information that is provided there. Please let me know if this is agreeable to you or not. I appreciate you time on this matter.

You are welcome. Glad to have been of some help to you. I still need to find Elizabeth for you. I keep thinking the book at the library said that she was in an unmarked grave, but I will see what I can do to get a photo of at least the area she is laid to rest.
Have a great day!

I'm a researcher for Prometheus Studios, a television production company in Los Angeles, CA. We're currently working on a special about the American Civil War. One of our editors was interested in possibly using an image of confederate soldier David M. Thatcher in our show and we'd like to obtain an image of his tombstone to supplement the image we have of him from the Library of Congress. I noticed you have an image of his tombstone on the "find a grave" website...posted by BIRDMAN. Do you maintain the images on the "find a grave" website? Would you be interested in allowing us to possibly use your image in our show? If so, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know. We'd have to get the high res version of the image in-house as soon as possible though. Any help you can give would be wonderful! Thanks for your time and hope to hear from you soon. Have a great day!

|Becky||RE: Catrow - Germantown Cemetery|
You are welcome.
The book at the library shows Lydia Catrow to be unmarked and I couldn't find a listing for Elizabeth Catrow that died in 1877. I will have to go to the cemetery office to see if they have record of her and also the location of both of them. The book showed Lizzie (d. 1923) was suppose to be in the first row in the section where M. and Eliza Catrow is in. The only marker I saw was for "Mother" with no dates. So I just took a photo of the area where she is buried. I am sorry I couldn't find an actual marker for her.
Also, the book showed Charles (d. 1889) was a child and is an unmarked grave. The other Charles (d. 1862) doesn't even show in the book. I was trying to get a photo of all the Catrow families buried there for you. I will see what I can do to get the rest of the photos.
Thank you for your patience.
Have a great week.
