|HI, I AM 62 RETIRED,AND AN AVID GENEALOGIST.I JUST STARTED LOOKING FOR REQUESTS FOR TOMBSTONE PICTURES,AND REALLY ENJOY THE SEARCH.FAMILY HISTORY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME,AND IF BY TAKING PICTURES,I CAN IN SOME WAY SAVE A LITTLE PART OF PEOPLE'S HISTORY,THEN I FEEL LIKE I'VE ACCOMPLISHED SOMETHING. I LIVE IN ODESSA,TEXAS,AND WILL GLADLY CHECK OUT CEMETERIES WITHIN A 200 MILE RADIUS, AND FARTHER IF I CAN. IF I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE OR IF I LIST SOMEONE THAT YOU WANT TRANSFERRED ,LET ME KNOW.|
FEEL FREE TO USE MY PHOTO'S;JUST PLEASE GIVE ME CREDIT FOR TAKING THEM OR OWNING THEM.-- I have the only photo of one of my great grandmother's on here. Someone added it to their family tree on Ancestry.com with no mention of where they got it,or what family link it came from. Now it's being added from one tree to another, without anyone being aware of our link into that family.I don't think that is right.
If anyone comes across "any" family of theirs I've listed and you would like to manage their memorial's,just let me know.I don't do this to build up numbers, but to try and save as much family history on these stones as I can.It doesn't matter to me how close or how far apart the family link may be.

Hi, Ladonna. Would you be able to take a photo of the headstone of Charles W. Kessler, a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens? I've just created his Find-A-Grave Memorial...#148724858.

Don't feel bad, it was new to me at one time, too. They will mark it in dark letters "Cenotaph" and that's what they want us to do. I added one years ago and didn't know we were supposed to notify Find A Grave to note it and where it is now, I have no idea. Hopefully someone will point it out to me, when they run across it. All we can do is our best. Glad you added him back.
Keep up the good work.

Ahhhh, you should keep your cenotaph as they are both legit, it's just that one is a burial and the other a cenotaph. Your photo proved it. You just have to ask Find A Grave to classify it as a cenotaph. It's your call. Best

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. Thank you so much for the management for Loretta. I really don't need to manage her husband. I appreciate your work, without which I wouldn't have found Loretta.
I thought I corresponded with you through email, but I can't find it in my files. I have been having computer problems and I lost some things. If I have spoken to you, I am sorry for the repeat, but I would rather respond twice than not at all. :-)

You're welcome! If you ever want to read about any towns in Texas, look up old schools, courthouses, etc., I recommend looking at texasescapes.com. Lots of info.
