Pearl and Fay Short's infants
Hi Jim, I was just looking at this family and pretty confused now. Are you a relative or have documents that have the facts. There are 3 infants listed in this cemetery as Pearl and Fay's children. Two of them are James E Short. the other is Helen May Short. I don't know if they had two babies named James E or there is a mistake.
Here are the memorial # might make it easier.
Find A Grave Memorial# 97603321,
Find A Grave Memorial# 92131125,
Find A Grave Memorial# 97603371,
Find A Grave Memorial# 129748036,
The two infant James E Short also have different dates. Thank you again, Thank you for any help, sweetpeasac

Pearl and James Short
Hi Jim, I was just looking at my aunts page (Find A Grave Memorial# 97603321) and I think it might be possible this is the wrong head stone, but not positive. My aunt is Pearl Delorus Clauson Short (her dates are right)But died in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California. She was married to Fay Ellsworth Short born Feb 20, 1901 and died April 19, 1965 in San Pablo, Contra, California. I only have records of them being in Colorado, Kansas, Missiour, then California. No records of Indiana. I think the stone may be wrong because of the husband and place of burial. Please let me know if you have any other records showing different. I think it may be a coincidence that there are two Pearl shorts with the same dates. I know that happens alot. Thank you so much, sweetpeasac

William J. Mershon tombstone
I apologize for not finding your note sooner.

Thank you for trying to find William J Mershon's tombstone. You noted finding one for Hufinah Mershon, daughter of Rev. J.B. Mershon. She would have been William's sister as Wm is found on the 1850 Coal Creek, Montgomery Co., IN census with J.B. and Rebecca Mershon. William served in Co. E, enrolled and mustered in [72nd IN] Oct. 20, 1864 in Lafayette by Capt. Thatcher as a Private at age 18. He was 5′ 8.50″ tall, fair complexion, brown eyes, and light hair. Born in Montgomery Co., IN, employed as a farmer. Mustered out at the end of the war Sep. 14, 1865 in Chattanooga, TN. His regiment was consolidated into 44th IN on Jul. 1, 1865. He should be recognized as being a soldier!

Warmest Regards for the work you do!!

Thank you
I want to thank you for the information you placed on my Dads memorial page. Even though my Dad has been gone 27 years his memory is still alive. It gives me a good feeling that after all these years there are still co workers that still remember him. All the people at Wilson Foods ment the world to him.

Thanks again, Gene Pevy
