Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a past president and current a member of the Dearborn County, Indiana Cemetery Commission. I have also authored four volumes of cemetery records of Dearborn County under the name Milton A. Masing. These books can be purchased from the publisher, Heritage Press, or various on-line book stores.

I am currently in the process of producing another set of books about Dearborn County - this time about the mayors of the three incorporated communities: Aurora, Greendale, and Lawrenceburg.

Retirement from teaching school now allows me to spend more time with my 'new' passion.

Please feel free to add information or photos, or ask questions regarding any of my listings. In the near future, I will be adding materials about the local mayors as well as my own ancestors.

Mr. Masing,
Please consider transferring management of Edith Dape my grandmother, and her sister Myrtle Smith memorials to me. I am the family historian for our family and I have quite a bit of information and some pictures I would like to personally add to these records.

Thank you for this consideration and for all the work I see you have addressed for "Find A Grave"

RE: John Humphrey
If this is your family, I can transfer it to you. As stated I did not create the duplicate intentionally, but yours was not associated to a cemetery, so as I went to the Cemetery listing where he was buried, I had no idea that it existed. I would have deleted mine, but there were more family links in place on mine, so it seemed easier to delete yours, despite it being created first. I was not trying cause problems.

Hello I don't know if you're related but I wanted to tell you I found a picture of him and posted it taken when he was in the service. Also Military records indicate he was buried in France. Do you know if the body was returned or if this is a cetotaph?

I'm not related just straightening up records. BTW he was killed in Fismes, France and buried in Coulogne en Tardenois, France.

Wondering if you can verify some of the information on this memorial with sources. Specifically, place of birth. If he is the son of Jonathan and Hannah Jones the rest of his siblings were born in Berkeley County, VA which is quite far from James City County. But more specifically his mother's maiden name. This is the only place I have seen a maiden name referenced for her and it would help a great deal with my research.

Much thanks,

RE: GARRINGER family buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Cass County, NE
Hi !

My name is Kay L. Baldwin and I take photos for F. A. G. , as well as add a few memorials. Another volunteer pointed out to me today that they thought I had created a duplicate to a memorial that you created: yours is Inna Ersa Mullins Garringer (1898 - 1994)
Memorial # 76213034. The one I created was created after yours but I just went by the name and date on the grave marker: Ersa Garringer (1911 - 1994) memorial #121600147. I don't believe these are the same people. I've been trying to get these figured out by looking for people's trees or records on but the evidence has been inconclusive. It appears that both Albert Elsa and Ina were married more than once and that perhaps Ina E. was Ina ETHEL Mullins Garringer Rash. If so, she is buried elsewhere. The Ersa buried with Albert Garringer may have the maiden name of Feltner but I have not documented proof on that. Perhaps you have more information than I have. My next step would be to check obits in Cass County, but I'm not sure when I can get to that. Until I check this out . . . I do not wish to delete my memorial. Thanks for your time and patience. Kay

It's called insomnia! The electronic Greensburg Daily News comes in around 2-3am and that led me to the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home site for another half hour before I decided I REALLY needed to get some sleep.

Hope your part of Indiana is finally getting some much needed warmer weather. My friend in Greensburg hasn't given me much sympathy this winter when I would tell her we were headed for an overnight freeze and she would say she wished her temperature would get UP to freezing.

But San Antonio isn't used to much cold weather and pretty much shuts down if we get ice on the roads. Poor little man in that one sand truck just can't keep up with it!

But saw bluebonnets springing up on the roadside as I drove to Austin today, so I know we finally have spring down here - maybe all two weeks of it before we begin our triple digit summer again.

Minnie Frey
Minnie #76543529 has a request for a stone photo. Since I just live across the road from Oak View I thought I would go get the request. It is a large cemetery and have a copy of the 2000 censes and don't find any Frey's buried there. You might want to get more information on her. If you can't find her put her memorial on unknown cemetery and maybe someone knows something. Karen
