I am a US Navy SKC(SW) retired and doing this just because I like to. I have received UNBELIEVABLE help with my genealogy research from several people on Find-a-Grave (and connected with long lost family) and will do the same in return, if I can. If you need any help with research in the Clark County WA or Multnomah County OR areas, just ask and I will do whatever I can to assist.|
My primary surnames for research are indicated by my virtual cemeteries. If I manage a memorial and you are more closely related to the person than me, I will gladly transfer it to you upon request. However, please keep FAGs guidelines in mind:
First - Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Only request transferring of management if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Second - Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Third - If you have extensive additions/changes to make to a memorial, please contact the Find A Grave member who created/manages the memorial via the "Suggest a Correction" link under the "Edit" tab on the memorial in question with your request to have the memorial management transferred to you. This will send an email request to the contributor, even if there is not an email address listed on their contributor page.
Fourth - Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor/manager may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer. Bulk surname requests must not be made. Be advised that memorials listed as famous or maintained by Find A Grave will not be transferred.
Fifth - The "Suggest a Correction" feature may also be used to submit corrections, an original biography, and family links to memorials that do not fall under the above definition. (Be sure to include the memorial ID#s for the family links and how they are related, father, mother or spouse. The original contributor/manager will make any corrections and add any additional information you have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses, provided the information is accurate.
Sixth - Please note that it is not appropriate to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created. This practice denies credit to the original contributor. Please use the original memorial page to make updates and add information.
Fair winds and following seas, shipmate.

Doug, thanks for your service.

Thank you for offering to transfer. I would appreciate that. Will go to their memorial and submit. Thanks

Rose Kaufman was married in 1923 Colorado first to Hunter Hight. Rose and Hunter Hight had 5 children, Wallace, Leonard, Hunter Jr, Beulah Elizabeth, and Richard Hight. Rose and Hunter divorced and Rose married My Great-Uncle Kelly H Parsons 1943 in Utah. I have the obituaries of Beulah Hights Pipher's father Hunter and brother Wallace that list her family members. Beulah Pipher 2006 obituary list her family, the dead and the living people. I am usually pretty thorough when linking families. Thank you, Letha J Clark
I noticed you maintain the findagraves of John Elbert and his wife, Cytha Marie Ginn Osborne. Do you happen to know who her parents are? Was she alot married to a Tuttle?

You are most welcome

I also entered a photo of Edna Richardson's marker, who is next to him, and it says "mom".

Hey that's pretty interesting! Amazing the things you find out about your own family that have been lost over the years. I found similar things on my wife's Mother's side of the family.

Golly, Doug, I wish I had looked at your photo requests before I went to Ohio last weekend. As it was I didn't know you needed photos from the Rock Hill cemetery for the Dales. I was there on July 5. Well, I'm going to try to get back up there at the end of the month and will try to locate them if it's not too blazing hot ---- it's on a hill exposed to the summer sun, and it was NASTY on July 5!
Meanwhile I am adding 2 photos for Dwight's memorial - use one or both, or tell me what other angle you would prefer, and I'll try to get back there. I'm giving simple locational descriptions in the captions. Also am going to add some cemetery shots, one general view showing Dwight's location.... the others I'll try posting to the cemetery site.
I see you got news about Griffen Taylor's first wife... that's great! (I STILL haven't found his darn photo!!!) I'll check her site to see if there's a photo. If not, well, Magnolia cemetery is a little more than walking distance from Sandy Valley cem. So if I go tone I can easily go to the other.
Best wishes as always, Pete

I sent a link for his first wife, who is buried at Magnolia Cemetery Lovina Taylor (-1866) # 101740592

Doug, not making any promises but I am hoping to get up to Ohio this summer and I may be able to go to Sandy Valley Cemetery to verify there's no stone for Dwight Taylor. Any other graves in that cemetery you'd like me to check on or photograph? There is no cemetery office as such, a woman runs the place from her home and I'll have to find her, but I'm pretty sure my wife has the lady's name and phone number. Best Regards, Pete
P. S. Still haven't found Griffen Taylor's photo (but I haven't been looking very much, either). One rainy day I'll sit down and do a serious search. No telling what else I'll find!
