Bio and Links
Bio Photo All my time and ga$oline expense incurred while taking photos is for the benefit of others. 99% of my memorials were created from walking and recording a whole cemetery and entering the ones missing. I've done 79 of them so far.

I'm not a Newb to computers or the Internet. I wrote my first tic-tack-toe program in FORTRAN on punched cards (1976) before there even was a WWW (world wide web). (FORTRAN took us to the moon and back) It was just dial-up BBS's like GENIE, USENET, and CompuServe @ 1,200 BAUD. Everyone was nice and respectful because they knew if you were connected at all, you had a brain and could use it.

My public messages are disabled because people kept requesting transfers, updates, pizza deliveries, dates (for real), etc., without using the SAC edit tab on the appropriate memorial. This was happening daily. I'd have to stop what I was doing and ask which memorial, etc., blah, blah, to fill in what they left out. It was taking a LOT of time to support these folks. Shutting off the public messages forces them to use the SAC method so I have all the needed memorial numbers to evaluate and make the changes and it saves me hours of time. Regrettably, this means I miss some very nice conversations.

Errors - Any errors in spelling, tact, or fact are data transmission errors caused by solar flares and big fat butterflies flapping their wings in Brazil. You don't think I'd make errors do you? (big grin) Just kidding, I can guarantee you I make occasional errors. I want to know about them so I can fix them.

Suggested edits on my family members.

I appreciate all suggestions but, I reserve the right to decide what information I want on my family member's memorials just like you do on yours. Don't be surprised if a suggested edit is considered but not accepted when it's on a close family member. Nothing personal, but it is "my" family member.

You wouldn't walk into a stranger's house and rearrange the furniture to suit yourself, now would you.

Ann Landers once said, "One out of four people in this country is mentally unbalanced. Think of your three closes friends; if they seem OK, then you're the one."

Personally after almost 3 years on FAG, I think that's more like two out of four . . . Ba Dump bump ching . .
