Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Corinth, NY. My wife and I already have our gravestones placed on the Dayton family plot in the Corinth Rural Cemetery, but fortunately, the right-hand side of the birth/death date is still blank. We've lived in nine locations in six states since being married to my lovely bride of 47 years. We're now in Byron Center, MI close to our two girls and six grandchildren.

I've been involved with family history research for over 25 years. I have three published books on file at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, as well as in local Libraries in Saratoga and Warren County, NY.

My interests are Dayton, Carter, White, Flansburg---and also all persons before 1900 in the towns of Corinth, Day, Hadley, Luzerne, Stony Creek and Brookhaven, NY

RE: Anna Pitts Ellis
You're welcome, they are my 5th great grandparents and I'm trying really hard to figure out who Anna's parents are. NY in that time period is not a good one for finding records!

Anna Pitts Ellis
Hi Jim,I wondered if you had records that prove Anna's parents are Levi and Hannah Pitts? The year for Levi's death and age seem off to me,to be her parents. The other question I had was, where was Elijah a Reverand? It would be nice to visit that church,if it still exists! Thanks!

Hi Jim,
I think your Find A Grave Memorial# 78646951 is a duplicate of Find A Grave Memorial# 44638318.
Thanks.

Silas Fox
Hi Jim,
My name is Phil Aubrey and I see you manage Rev Silas C. Fox #79547728 buried at Dean Cemetery at Stony Creek. He was my Great Great grandfather on my mothers side. He resided in Warrensburg for many years and owned Fair View Cottage, a vacation rental. His wife died in May of 1914 and he moved in with his son-in-law Howard Thomson in Glens Falls.
So far I have not found date of death. I have seen mention of his wife as Mrs S. O. Fox. I didn't know about Luisa Dean. Is there a head stone? Thanks in advance for any info.

RE: Memorial # 69277616
Hello Jim
I'm so sorry I haven't responded earlier. Yes, I have the locket.

It was found when we were cleaning out my father-in-laws house in 2011. It had been stashed away for 40+ years with all kinds of other gems. It came with a note hand-written by Calista and Norman's granddaughter, Hazel Orilla Winn Dean, that it was given to her by Zelma Hoxie -- Hazel's 1st cousin, once removed, daughter of Roy Hoxie. Roy was also a grandson to Calista's. Roy's mother was Calista & Norman's 1st child, Alma Tracy.

Also included with the locket and note (all of which were in a tiny cardboard jewelry box, was a very tiny key (probably for a jewelry box) and a gold chain with a diabetic tag. I have no idea who might have been diabetic.

Hope this helps. Glad to share -- anytime.

Krista

Mandy Goodemote
Hi Jim,
Would you be able to link Mandy (79709685) to Frank Goodemote (79709684) as spouse or transfer her to me and I will take care of it?

Thanks again for creating these memorials!
