Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello, We have been active in our ancestral research for about fifteen years now. We got started just about a year before my father died. He was doing some research himself and had documented a makeshift tree. Even though his work was incomplete it gave us the initiative to take it and run with it. Several years later we have over 30,000 people in our tree and have visited several cemeteries in the area where we live. After a few thousand headstones photos taken we are now in the process of uploading them to Find A Grave as well as Ancestry. It has been arduous work but very rewarding to us. Unfortunately, the reason we are adding a bio now is because the efforts we have taken to make sure our relatives are remembered by information here and on Ancestry, is, our photos are being taken without our permission and then claimed by others as their own. We started noticing this about a year ago and started putting a small watermark on the photos. This has not stopped peope from stealing our work. We would rather not put anything on the photos themselves because we believe it takes away form the asthetics of the photo, however, it has become necessary. Now it seems as though even having the small watermark is not enough to deter those who would take what does not belong to them without asking or giving credit. So much for the small watermark. Now you will be finding photos we upload will have GLARING marks on them. Sorry about that.

We are not averse to letting people copy these photos, we just ask that credit be given where credit is due. Just ASK. You might be surprised how willing we are to share. With the proper credit given. Unfortunately, the watermarks will remain.

Because we are not able to travel long distances, we ourselves have taken photos from others on this site "WITH PRIOR PERMISSION" and with due credit given. So, we understand the desire to have a copy of your own.

We have also begun to pursue actions against those who steal.

RE: Baby Girl Jagger
Thank you for adding the memorial for the baby. I would be happy to help with whatever you have in mind for Horeb, to make the cemetery information the best that we can.

These cemetery listings are truly group efforts. :)

Thank you for your interest! Connie

Rueben Zarske
Hi Nancy, I have transferred Rueben's memorial to you and in checking on a wide search for any other Zarske's that I have created memorials for, I found only Rollin and Eleanor Zarske buried at Forest Home Cem., Milw., WI, so I've transferred them as well. Regards, Nadeen

Hi Nancy, you are welcome for the memorial and photo. If you'd like me to transfer it to you, just let me know, I'd be happy to. You don't have to watermark the picture with my name, my photo's are for everyone to enjoy. Regards, Nadeen

RE: Benjamin RD Spurlock
Wonderful! Have you run into one for his brother, Lindsey D Spurlock? (MD was a cousin and we always get notes for him instead.)

Lindsey (1822) was son of John Spurlock and brother of Rev. Percival Spurlock and Benjamin RD. Lindsey was born in Old Richmond before the family of John moved to Illinois in about 1838.

Lindsey married Rhoda Ann Booton (dau. of Fanny Spurlock.)They took their family on to Iowa (about 1852) where my ggrandfather, John William was born. They separated in their later years and went to live with their children. Lindsey had been a rancher/farmer but took up ministry (possibly the 'new' Adventist calling.)

We know Rhoda died in 1875 in Keokuk, Iowa and is buried in Sandusky Cemetery, Keokuk, Lee County, Iowa from family documents. But we were told Lindsey went on to stay with his daughter and died in 1909 just after his daughter's death. No records have him listed. We can not get into some from IL. Some of the family stayed there.

Dean may have been our Lindsey's middle name, too. Their mother was Mary "Polly" Dean (or Deane).

Any clues may prove helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for the information. Where did you find the Russel Dean part of his name?

Are you related?
