I have been doing my families genealogy since 1992. I have visited many cemeteries visiting relatives. When my father passed away in 2007, I was at a loss. He donated his body to science. I had no place to go to talk to him. A friend told me about "Find A Grave". I joined and added his name. Now, when I feel the need, there is a place for me to go and talk to him. I have added other relatives and can visit that also.|

I don't know if I ever thanked you for putting a picture of Uncle Lawrence's grave stone on his Find A Grave Memorial. I was on Ancestry updating my cousin's section when I thought I would check on Uncle Lawrence. I opened it up and saw the picture and wondered if I had thanked you so to make sure, I am doing it now. It touches my heart. Uncle Lawrence was my Daddy's favorite uncle. When I was a baby, he and his wife, Rosa, came to Texas for a family reunion. There are several shots of him holding me during the reunion. It seems he didn't share......
Unfortunately, Uncle Lawrence died before I came back from overseas. It was 12 years after his death that we moved here to Arizona. Too late to catch up on family. Uncle Lawrence was greatly missed by my father.
Thank you again for giving me the precious picture of his grave stone.

If I haven't thanked you before for making the corrections to this memorial, I'm thanking you now. Well done!

My grandparents' grave marker has been installed! After all of these years without a marker after I had paid for one, and then nine months of delays, etc. in getting the marker made, I am thrilled that it's finally there. Again, thank you so much for taking the picture of my grandparents' grave. Who knows how long it would have taken me to find out that their gravestone had not been installed if I hadn't seen the picture you took? I am very grateful that you took it, and that I was able to take action. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I've been working with a very nice lady who works for the cemetery today. She and another lady looked through the archives and found the work order for my grandparents' marker! We went through everything on the phone and the work order will be sent tomorrow. She promised that once the marker is installed, in about 4-6 weeks, she will email a picture to me. Although she can't undo the mistake that was already made, I feel that she's doing her best to rectify it. I feel much better about everything and feel confident that my grandparents will get their marker soon. I figure they went this long without one, another 6 weeks should be okay. But really, your picture was such a blessing, because it had always been in the back of my mind that I never got any kind of verification from the cemetery that the marker was there. I'd remember when it wasn't convenient to call them, and then I would forget. Your picture was the kick in the pants I needed to make that phone call. So again, thank you so much! We paid over $2,000 for a lovely double granite marker, and my grandparents deserve to have what my husband and I paid for them to have. You have done such a good deed and I am going to pay it forward.

I don't remember if I requested it, but I want to thank you for taking a picture of my grandparents' grave. My husband and I don't get to Phoenix often and the last time we did was for my uncle's funeral eleven years ago. While we were there, we paid in full for a marker for my grandparents, Orville and Grace. After seeing the picture you took that had no marker, I called the cemetery and an employee went out to check and discovered that, nope, there was no marker there. I would not have known without your picture and I wanted to thank you for taking it. So, please accept my thanks. I'm very upset that my grandparents have gone even longer without a marker that I paid for eleven years ago. Of course, the salesperson no longer works for the cemetery, but I have learned a lesson about making sure that great care is taken when I buy something from out of state. Again, thank you, Marie!

Thank you Marie!! Wilburn was very hard to find from 1920 Missouri then off the grid until I found him by his initials in 1940 census for Arizona! His Death certificate confirmed I had the right guy. I knew he married because of his death certificate but I couldnt find anything on Mrs. W.O. Wallace! :-) I added memorial # 116971021 for her. May I use your photos in my ancestry family tree? I would give you photo credit if you will grant permission. I am just thrilled to smash another brick wall, thank you for helping me out!
