Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits!

Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.

To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.

Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!

The exception:
Requesting a transfer, adding family links, or other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.

Copied from Profile of Connie.

Thanks, Connie!

It is wonderful to meet you.
I was a child when she died. Did you know my daddy James Carver "Jim?"
I hope we can stay in contact.

John Barlow's youngest sister
I am noticing that in all of the Barlow "find a grave" postings the youngest sister, Zemmer/Selma is missing. She is listed in both the 1900 and 1910 census in Arkansas. She married Gustaf Albert Gaufin Nov 10, 1914; however, Gusaf is litsed in the 1940 census as widowed living with his son, William. And in William's death record it lists his mother's last name as Jameson. Somewhere she married William Jameson - don't have a date though. Maybe they are trying to forget about her - looks like she just "left." Just thought I should mention this. Thanks.

RE: Ruth Yount Goins #92795916
Thanks Ruth. I too have been tied up for most of the day and just now looked at the obit again. I'm glad the obit has been corrected.

Hi Ruth. I need your help with a Goins and since Ruth is your cousin, I'm hoping you can help. Below is an obit for Lois Elizabeth Goins Brooks. Note in the obit who is listed as her parents. I say the parents listed are incorrect and her parents were Cannie Edgar and Ruth Yount Goins. What do you think?

Her funeral service will be 2:00p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother for 93 years. She was a homemaker, caregiver and peacemaker for many.

She is survived by three sons; Troy Eugene Brookes, Sr., Johnny Cecil Brooks and Danny Wayne Brooks; brother, Robert Goins of High Shoals; grandchildren, Bobby Eugene Brooks, Sr. and wife, Karen of Iron Station, Johnny Brooks, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Lincolnton, Jimmy Brooks of Lincolnton, Jeffery Brooks and wife, Cindy of Maiden, Troy E.
