Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research on my family for 20+ years. I enjoy doing this type of research even though it does require lots of time and lots of patience. But, the rewards – like verifying the given name of a great grandparent after many years of searching – are many. I believe that genealogy research is like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle that has thousands of little pieces. One works diligently, carefully fitting the little pieces together and it seems that the puzzle will soon be completed – only a few more pieces to add. But wait – the puzzle box appears to be empty – some pieces must be lost! In desperation, one picks up the puzzle box, shakes it vigorously, and exclaims "Eureka!" as more little pieces fall out of the box.

What I hope to pass on to my descendants is knowledge of our family legacy that they will cherish as much as I do now.

I am so glad I discovered the Find A Grave site. I am deeply moved by the vast number of memorials that have been created to honor the memory of deceased loved ones. I extend my sincere thanks to the person/persons responsible for creating this site AND to all who create and maintain memorials.

Prior to retirement, I served as a public servant for 30+ years. In my capacity as a public servant my responsibilities included being custodian of many important, permanent, public records. Thus I know the importance of documenting and maintaining accurate records. I still adhere to this practice.

As for education, I have a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree and my undergraduate degree (BS) is in Business Administration.

Now, I'm happily retired!

Re: Margie Godleski
Have added the information (parents) to Margie's memorial. Thanks so much. The Harris's moved into the neighborhood where I was born and raised. Their house was across the road from the church where I attended. Are you from Madison County? My wife is from Madison (Walnut Creek). We will be married for 59 years in 2013. Hope you have a great day.....Poppy*

RE: Pansy Walker
You're welcome. She was a very modest and unassuming woman, but a lovely lady that was loved. I wish I had a latter picture of her. I'll have to ask around, as I would like to post one of her.

Pansy Walker
Loved this lady. I'm so sorry I had not finished the links, but they are now done. Thank you for bringing her to my attention. I just seen her daughter, not long ago. One year, when Pansy was ill, several of us ladies from church came and helped her get her corn in and frozen for her.
