|Cindy ||Sarah Ann Currey Sutton|
Thank you for posting my great aunt's memorial.
Are you related? I would love to exchange family information.
Would you please connect her to her parents?
Father: Daniel Currey # 57900836
Mother: Sarah Gidney Currey # 96784606
I have posted her death certificate, which states her parents.
If you are not related, I would love to manage her memorial.
I have tried to email, but it was send back as undeliverable.

My records show he was born in 1841 in England.
Also, I would like to request a transfer of this memorial to my page, because he is a great-great uncle of mine.

|Christie Trapp||O. C. and Grant Linabury - Sashabaw Cemetery|
Hi: I had put in a photo request for Grant's tombstone, but all I see is a headstone that has his name on top but no evidence of any surname.
What has me curious is that both Grant and O.C. have the same death date exactly. Is there anyway you can document or verify the date of death? If they died the same day, month and year then I suspect they just might be brothers?
I have some Linabury's in my database, O. C. being one, but I don't have Grant. I had put in the photo request with the hopes that I would get a tombstone that might provide a hint or clue as to whom he belongs. Obviously the photos that were taken and posted do little to solve this mystery.
I've tried contact Denise in the past asking for some help but have not seemed to strike a cord with her to come back with any help, so I'm turning to you since your entry is of more recent vintage.
I know that the vital records start in 1867, but sometimes families didn't register these early births and when I was searching the Oakland vitals a few years ago, the Linabury family was one of those and I didn't see any entry for Grant - unless I missed it because I was tired.
Anyway, can you help me out?
|Marlene Tyler||RE: Cemetery|
Thank you so much, I appreciate your help.
I'm trying to find a Cemetery in Ionia co., called Elmdale, or at least it was called that in 1910, I'm trying to locate the Cemetery where my relative Clyde Tyler was buried so I can place him there. Any help would greatly be appreciated as I live in Alabama.
Here's a suggestion I'd like to share with you. I am a photograper for Find A Grave also. I have found the sun to be a real problem at times and 1/2 shaded areas also. But now I take an umbrella with me and use it to completely shade the headstone to get great pic's. I'm able to hold the umbrella and take the photo at the same time. I thought this might help you too. give it a try.

Hmmm... That does bring up a question of maybe the death date inscribed on the tombstone is incorrect?
I double-checked the pages of the transcription for Mt. Avon Cemetery that I copied and this is what it listed (which appears to match the photo):
BUTLER, Elizabeth w/o James R
d. 7-3-1860, Aged 25y 5m 18d
Sec. OG, Lot 06
Elizabeth (Weaver) Butler's grandmother, Elizabeth Miller Houck, was a sister to 4th great-grandfather, Johan Bernhard Miller. So, we are only very distantly related. I just starting "branching out" into additional lines of descent for the Miller family.
I'm sorry that I'm not able to help regarding Orman W. Butler, but do have some info on the Miller/Houck connection.
Best Regards ~ Marilyn

Yes, I'm sure her name is with an "A".
Joseph was not the son of Levi, I don't know how they were related, or if they even were. I do have an article about Levi. From the Kalamazoo Citizen Patriot; August 15, 1895.
Headline: Dislocated His Hip.
PORTLAND, Aug. 16.- As Levi Burhans was crossing the street here he was struck by one wheel of a buggy was was passing, and his righ his dislocated."

Your welcome for the photos. I am just trying to make it a bit easier on other people.
