|Bio and Links|
OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone.
TRANSFERS: In most cases I'll transfer any memorial that isn't listed in my family surnames. I transfer on a case by case decision. I don't have issues with the number of generations. If I've transferred a memorial to you, please be sure you can maintain it or make the changes that others request. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back. ..please don't ask for a transfer of memorials and then become an inactive member, and have all your memorials go stagnant...TRANSFER THEM BACK OR TRANSFER THEM TO SOMEONE WHO CAN MAINTAIN THEM.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. I try to take pictures that are clear enough to read, but sometimes that isn't always possible. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask email@example.com to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. If you've created a duplicate, please don't ignore the courteous request to delete them. I will gladly delete mine. If you don't delete your duplicate within a reasonable amount of time, I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to do so.
UNKNOWN LOCATION: ...OH my...this seems like such a touchy subject with everyone. How on earth are you going to know where everyone is buried unless you personally attended each and every funeral service. Now really...people are buried in sometimes almost nonexistent cemeteries in family lots, cremated, ashes scattered, ashes with family members, etc, etc...sometimes you have to create a memorial with "location unknown". If you should come across one of my memorials, and I've indicated "unknown burial" ..send me an EDIT..I'll gladly move it...don't created a duplicate...isn't that senseless.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've give me.
This may sound a bit crude, but my theory is "if you don't want to share your toys...get out of the sandbox".

Bessie is the only name my husband remembered her by. Normand Labbe married a Toni but he cannot remember her last name. Thanks for your kind and sincere help in helping me find the Spencer kin, Labbe kin and all the rest that goes with his kin. Respectfully email@example.com 47230178

Connie, thanks for placing Adrian on Find a grave for my husband and I to find. We were wondering if he was still alive or not. Now all we have to find is whether his Aunt Bessie Labbe, Uncle Normand Labbe and and their spouses are still here. I have found all the others. Did not realize his mother's sisters and brothers added up to eleven plus her. Thanks again. Respectfully firstname.lastname@example.org 47230178

|Jim Moran||Mabel S McKenna|
My 1st cousin 2 times removed. Related to the McKennas in Quebec. Her mother was a Moran - my great grand aunt.
Perfect thanks again.
Thank You Connie for following up on the grave for me and capturing the photo.
I come from a line of Moran's that nestled in Lincoln and Grafton up through Quebec. The McCrea's came over from Ireland with my great great grandmother and settled in the area. Albert's grandfather was related to my family through my grandmotherx3.
Because of my profession I live all over Canada and only once a year I get back to the east but usually only in the winter or early season and the cemetery's are snowed in or still closed.
IT is really appreciative that you were able to get the photo for me to add to the family history book. Thanks again

Thank you for letting me know I had him in the wrong cemetery. I was more worried about remembering a veteran, so I deleted mine.

Hi Connie - This little baby is my husband's sister. Would you be so kind as to transfer her to me? Thanks so much. -Claudia Guay

Hi Connie! Thanks for the additional info on the two persons I've added to Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery… I updated their memorials… they are buried near some relatives of mine and I took their photo in case they fit somewhere! If you are related or come across any one that is let me know and I'll gladly transfer the memorials to them! Take care and thanks again… love the bio by the way!! Blessings, Dana

I am trying to link Sally Shute Brown with her parents Joseph Shute and Mary Carter. There is a bit of a problem with that though.
There are two memorials for Joseph in two different cemeteries.
There is your memorial ( 62225582) and a memorial and photo (74634446) in Glenwood Cemetery with his apparent second wife.
Is there a chance that you could get together with Katherine and maybe merge the two together?
Their daughter is in West Waterford Cem.
