|Bio and Links|
OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone. Rather than complain about someone's work...help them with it.
TRANSFERS: I transfer on a case by case decision. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back...please don't ask for a transfer of group surnames.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree. MY ONLY REQUEST IS THAT MY PICTURES AREN'T LIFTED AND PLACED ONTO A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL OR MEMORIAL LISTED AS UNKNOWN....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. I will gladly delete mine. Please keep in mind that some duplicate memorials are actually cenotaphs.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've given me.

Actually I thought I had added the second photo showing the close-up like I did on his wife's memorial. It is there now though.
Thanks for the heads up!

|Candace Hill||John Moran|
Never Mind, now that I looked better at the grave marker John is Mary's son. Sorry about that, don't see that very often.
|Candace Hill||Mary Moran|
Hi Connie, I'm looking at the Memorial for Mary Moran 82706277 and it looks like her husband John is buried in the same plot, but I don't see a memorial for him in this cemetery? Am I missing something?
Thanks for looking it over, you have done a LOT of memorials for sure,

Thanks for suggesting the links to Florida's parents.

I see you've been going to town on the NH Veteran's Cemetery - wow! Just wanted to say I've noticed and am impressed. I had added probably 500 photos over the summer but you've really shone there.

Connie, WOW! You are unbelievably fast at adding details to memorials! Your friend, Bob G
|Nicole and Family||Jesse Mardin|
Hi there Connie,
I am the 3rd great grand-daughter of Jesse Mardin and Diana Snow Mardin - I was wondering if you would consider allowing me to manage their page - as I have additional family information I would like to add from records at Ancestry.com and other history, so that the whole family picture becomes more clear for his record. Thank you so much : ) Nicole

Good morning, Connie:
Thanks for your note, and thanks, more especially, for posting Edmund/Edward Decker on findagrave. Edmund Decker is my great-grandfather through his daughter, Alice Maude Decker, and I am thrilled to find his grave location. Now if I could only find out where and when his wife, Cynthia Labrie, was born and died, and who her parents were.
As for his name, from what I have seen in my research, he seems to have been known generally as "Ed" Decker, and he is found variously in records as "Edmund" [1850 USC of Standish, Cumberland, ME, and 1880 USC of Berlin, Coos, NH] and as "Edward" [Death record, marriage record of his daughter, Alice Maude Decker, and the 1900 and 1910 US censuses]. His parentage is confirmed by his NH death record and the 1850 USC of Standish. Looking at rootsweb, he is found as "Edmund", b 13 May 1827 in Pearsontown [now Standish], Cumberland, ME, in the Hall Family Database. See
FYI, His NH death record reports his death date to have been 9 May 1911, rather than the 9 May 1919, reported on his findagrave record. Perhaps that is a transcription error.
Hope information addresses your praiseworthy concerns.
|Bob Glidden||114956368 Nellie M. Wallace|
Connie, I have discovered that I erred in providing data for Memorial 114956368. The name should be "Nellie M. Wallace." The dates are correct, but the place of birth should be "Dalton, Coos, NH." Please remove the bio I provided, which reads "D/O Frederick Ashby ...." Also please remove the children mentioned, as they are actually niece and nephew. "Nellie M. Wallace is the daughter of Edwin R. Wallace (1858-1935) and Jessie F. Brown Wallace (1856-1924)." She shares a tombstone with her brother, not her husband. I am chagrined by my error, and I apologize for providing information which has proved to be in error. Thank you for being such a great hostess. I will try my best not to mislead you again. Bob Glidden
There is a gravestone for William H Wallace Jan 9th 1892 - Apr 23 1938 from the Pinewood Street Cemetery in Whitefield, Coos, NH. He is buried, not with his wife, but with his sister Nellie Maurine Wallace 18 Jul 1898 to 04 Nov 1983.
His wife was Maurine L. King Wallace "Molly". According to birth and marriage records, she was born Mar 17 1891. I am not sure where she is buried. Can you help me out??
Can you check the records and make any corrections that may be necessary? Molly may have remarried since William died fairly young, 46. I will keep researching. This is my husband's family.
