I have been searching my families histories for 21 years with the help of my mother, many of my cousins and my sister-in-law.

I have been involved with two cemeteries Charles F. Austin and Greenwood they are both located on Hwy 183 south east Austin and I have been researching the families buried in these cemeteries.

Swofford - Blackstock Family
Hello Billie,
After looking thorough your Blackstock family line I believe we have a lot of relatives in common. I see some people I have that you don't have and vice versa. I would like to talk to you about the two families. I believe between the two of us we can solve a lot of missing members to each of our families. You can contact me at JerrySwafford14 @ or we can arrange to speak over the phone. I would enjoy speaking to you.

Hi Billie,

Here is the Memorial for one of the children, for which along with the rest, you are the custodian.

Obviously, if you are a descendent, I do not expect you to transfer these memorials. If you prefer to keep them for any reason, OK with me. But if you want to transfer them, you will be doing to to a relative.

All the best,

Hello Billie,

I am related to Nicholas Dawson. His great uncle was named Nicholas Dawson and is a direct ancestor of mine. I would be pleased to take responsibility for these Memorials, if that is convenient for you.

I would be pleased also to be entrusted with their children's Memorials, as well. (I have not checked each one to see if they are in your care. I will do so and write to you again, if that's the case.)

Whatever you decide, let me thank you for your care and attention.

George Butler Sturdivant
I am pleased that the FINDAGRAVE entry you have for Geo. B. Sturdivant in Elgin Cemetery listed his children. For info, the first child of George and Lucy was John Thomas Sturdivant, born and died in Limestone County, Ala. Born 26 Jan 1878; died 5 April 1884.

After contacting Find A Grave I got the picture removed and will repost it when the other picture is gone. Find A Grave is the only one who can remove a picture from the main page and I think the request must come from the person who posted the photo. Tom

Jesse Meek @ Forest Park
I see you added a picture request for Jesse Meek @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Thank you,
Cecil Vaden Jr
