Hi Find-a-grave friends, you may notice that many of the memorials I created were transferred to Kathy G. with both her and find-a-grave administrator permission. |

Thanks to those find-a-gravers who posted memorials and pictures of my own family's headstones in Columbus. Linda
Kindly remember: " the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it
If you wish to download one of my headstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit.

|Judi Pegg||RE: Capt. George H. Bristol|
This is the source you sent: from Sandusky Library, Oakland Cemetery Burial index:
Bristol, Capt., Geo H., interred 10/24/1873, Lot 17, Block 60,
So if the library index has him as Capt. I think I'll leave it for now. In 1860 he & wife Sarah were living in Dayton, Montgomery county, but in 1870 they were living in Sandusky, Erie county. So I'm fairly sure he would have served from Ohio.
Thank you for your help!
|Judi Pegg||Capt. George H. Bristol|
Thank you for the information on him. I've looked but I can't find a Civil War record for him, I did find something on a George P. and a George S., but I don't think either one was this George Bristol.
I went ahead and put Capt. on his memorial.
