My first stop in a cemetery is any photo requests, then it is the small white markers with the little lambs; the ones that are slowing giving in to the elements. Next, Veterans from any war, especially the Civil War, they seem to be forgotten about. This summer has been spent on many a gravel road with map in hand looking for the small out of the way cemeteries in this area. Sometimes hubby comes along.|
More than happy to transfer any family, except of course, my relatives. Gladly will make any corrections, additions or relationship links. The great thing about findagrave is so many helpful, friendly people adding pieces to the genealogy puzzle.

You are most welcome.
I had that original request from November. I had found the headstone Application on Ancestry and when I checked with the office, they couldn't find anything in their records. I had kept the information with the idea to go back after the holidays and double-check. Then another request came in and on the second trip into the office, same thing – nothing on the index. So I asked about the burial date in 1949. The counselor went back to the archives and came out with the original index card from 1949. For some reason the information hadn't gotten onto the system.
I'm glad that I was able to help.

Just wanted to thank you for uploading the marker for Bertha Thompson from Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Forks. I had requested it before but the person was unable to locate (not sure if it was covered - looks like it might of been). I just happened to stumble across the Find-A-Grave page again when doing some google searching on my great grandmother and was surprised to see the photo pop up! Thanks again!

Absolutely my pleasure! Floyd Burton is buried at the Coriano Ridge War Cemetery in Italy and I was able to organise a Remembrance Day service there this past November. Should you be interested more photos of the cemetery are on my facebook page Flags From Home (www.facebook.com/flagsfromhome) or you can see the Canadian news coverage here: http://winnipeg.ctvnews.ca/special-features/the-poppy-trail

A big TANK YOU from us in Sweden! This is a great help for our family history. When you take your second foto in April would you like to let us know who else is in the tomb.
Again a big THANK YOU.

Thank you very much for the photo for Sarah's stone. It confirmed that she did die in 1898 (not 1924). Maybe there is another Mrs. Sarah Freeman in that cemetery that died in 1924? But this is the Sarah that I wanted to see... May God bless you for your volunteer spirit and giving of your time. Deb

Thank you so much for taking the time to find my great grandfather's marker. All other family members since his death have been laid to rest in Reno, NV. Unfortunately, he did not live long enough to meet any of his grandchildren so I am happy to find any information about him.

You are very welcome. The setting is lovely...his grave is with other veterans. Happy to help. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.

I will keep this on my list of Needham stones to find. Now that I see the 1948 application date on the form you posted, perhaps the cemetery has his record under 1948 instead of 1944. (All their records are handwritten; nothing's computerized.) Do you know if there are any family members buried near him?
