Hello Tina:

I have just come across your Find A Grave entry on C C Doty. I am descended from one of the 6 Pancoast sisters. (Mattie Ruth Pancoast Edens) Are you a descendant of Frances Isabel Pancoast DeLong? Also, Frank DeLong? My mother was an Edens and she told me about the 6 sisters, and that they were her favorites. Her father was Albert Armstead Edens, son of Balis Armstead Edens and Mattie Ruth Pancoast Edens. I have an Edens book with a lot of information on family connections, but have packed it away and don't have it handy right now to check my various family lines. My son is a teacher and coach down near Houston and he knows a Coach Doty who just went to a funeral in or near Big Spring. My son called and asked if our families were related. I assume that we are, but couldn't nail it down for all of the siblings, past those 6 sisters. Are you of this group? Pancoast Doty Edens DeLong Take Care Bob Patty

Would this be William W. Osteen of Enden parents William Pritchit Osteen AND Minerva Ann Mims son? And if so did he have a wife and does he have a prision record. Also, by chance does he have a son nsme Carl? I am wondering if this could be one of my great (3 times) uncle?

RE: Aunt Fanny
I searched again using the new location and was still unable to find a marker.

It would be helpful if you could add a notation to her memorial to indicate that this is an unmarked gravesite.

Again, so sorry I couldn't provide you with a photo of her marker.

I will delete my entry. I see all of them have the name spelled differently than all other records on this family with an extra I.

His death certificate said he was buried at "Arden" without adding the word cemetery. There was also no undertaker listed to ask. Perhaps there is an Abilene obituary online. I didn't check since he isn't related to me.

You asked if I knew where he was buried in the Arden cemetery but I don't know. He is on the 1940 census for San Angelo as a government worker a fish hatchery while his death certificate says he is a retired butcher. He was a widower with two grown children living with him.

His son Thomas Elmo Mitchner was the source of information on the death certificate. His Findagrave listing says Thomas died in Tarrant County and was buried at Reno in Parker County, Texas in 1983.

RE: Charity/Collin Hobbs
I sure thank you for the help. Collin's death certificate shows that he was sent to Midway Cemetery. I would not be surprised if it was unmarked. Anything you could do will be appreciated.
