Thank you for your efforts in finding the grave for Valentine Rider, a veteran of the Civil War. Kent Kooi and I have been researching the men of the 4th Iowa Cavalry for four years. We would like to ask your permission to use your photo of his unmarked grave in a presentation we are putting together to donate to the historical societies in several Iowa counties. We would credit the photo as "Courtesy of Publico." Please let me know, and thank you again for fulfilling my photo request.

Louise, was my fathers half-sister and Tankisley is the way they spelled it. Not sure of the order of Louise and Gertrude though....Peggy Joy

Thank you so very much for the info on Mary's gravesite. Thank you for your time and energy. Even though there is no gravestone, someone has now been there to honor her.

Thanks for the photo. Do you remember if there were any other family members in that grave area?
Thank you so much for your efforts trying to find the location of William Every. I knew it was a long shot to be found and I really appreciate your attempt.
