Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Joni schultz from Lafayette, Indiana. I am interesting in history. I made the Pedigree sheets since 1990, wrote down my generations on them, and put them in my two notebooks. I am researching their record of death, marriage, death, census, and cemetery on the microfilm of local newspapers, book, and internet in the library. I am researching the cemeteries and headstones in the websites on the internet.
God is planning what we enjoy to do. We love to know when we find our honest generations from the world. God bless you!

Obituaries
Joni,
You need to source the obituaries with the name of the newspaper. The date and day of publishing too.

You are using microfilm, so they are available to you.

Thank you.

Joni, sorry I didn't clarify that the deaths on the tombstone are incorrect.

Hi Joni, the birth and death dates for my great great grandmother are May 6 and Jan 22 on the page that I manage. There is another page for her on Find A Grave that is in someone's management. I have tried to have it transferred to me so there won't be duplicate pages but have had no response from the person who has the page. The dates on their page are incorrect. The dates on my page were taken from Almira's death certificate of which I have a copy. You might try to contact the other person to correct his dates. Maybe you will have better luck than I did. The memorial number that has the incorrect dates is #12847971. Thanks, Shelia

Hi Joni,
Thanks for the obituary postings.
Is it possible for you to source them with the
date of publishing and the name of the paper?
That helps everyone who comes looking.

RE: (Frank) Schultz Family Tree
Dear Joni,

Thanks for replying to my message. I'm sorry you will not be there when I visit Indiana in October. Are there any other Schultz relatives there I could contact?

I am a granddaughter of Archie Francis Schultz, who was a grandson of Frank Schultz Sr. Frank's son George was Archie's father.

My father Robert Francis Schultz was Archie's oldest son, and had two brothers: Greg and Phil.

So you and I are distantly related --- I don't know what to call us: fourth cousins?

I'd like to get in touch with anybody who can tell me more about the Schultz family tree, particularly the connection to Germany, where Frank Sr. was born.

You are welcome to write me at my personal Email address: susan.thorne@gmail.com
I would be happy to tell you more about myself.

With best wishes,
Susan (Schultz) Thorne

(Frank) Schultz Family Tree
Dear Joni,

I see that you have provided some of the material on the Find-a-Grave page for my paternal great-great-grandfather, Frank Schultz (b. 1830, d. 1904 in Attica), and I'm writing to ask whether you could get in touch with me about this.

My maiden name is Susan Schultz, and I am interested in adding to the information I have about my Indiana Schultz connections. I have also been trying to identify what part of Germany Frank Schultz Sr. came from: I have a degree in German and can read Old German Script, so I would love to be able to research the German branch of the family tree.

I also wonder whether you and I may be related...?

I am planning to visit Indiana in October, and have set aside October 15 and 16 to visit sites related to my family history and possibly discover further connections. You may have some suggestions about the best way to do this.

In any case, I would be pleased to have any advice you can offer, and thank you for contributing Frank Schultz's obituary to the Find-a-Grave website.

I hope to hear from you.

With very best wishes,
Susan (Schultz) Thorne
