Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live near Lake Ontario in NY. I grew up in the Washington DC suburbs. Both sides of my family lived in Georgetown and are Irish. On my father's side, the first of our family to arrive in America were 5 brothers named Sommerville from Gransha near Londonderry. William, the 3rd brother to arrive, came in 1773 at the age of 17. He was a soldier of the Revolution. I am attempting to connect the families of all 5 brothers. Settling originally in Penna., they soon moved to Va. and are traceable through the backwoods settlers of early Virginia. With the exception of William who saw enough adventure and privation during the war, they were always on the edge of expansion both west and south. They were well represented in the War of 1812, & both sides of the Civil War. Military service is a family hallmark.

RE: Delbert Lee Somerville
You are welcome. I was there to get a pict. of my Aunt & Uncle's. When I go I take pictures of others. Although some Somerville's are connected to the Cheuvront's and My Great Grandmother was a Cheuvront. I have a lot of Cheuvront history and a little on some Somerville's. Glad I coud be of help.

Loudon Park Cemetery
Hi, this is a massive cemetery if you could call and get the location of the grave I would happily fill your request. There are 78 photo requests and none have grave locations.

RE: John Somerville/Oak Grove Franconia Cem
Connie, you're so welcome. It's a beautiful cemetery and we would not mind going back if there are specific Somervilles that you need. Just let me know. If we make a return trip it will probably be in the Fall since temps here are near 100 now.

RE: re Francis McMahon at Oak Hill
That is very odd! I usually use United States, District of Columbia, District of Columbia and then a whole slew of options appear including Garfield, Georgetown, Washington City, Washington!

Shea / Somerville
Connie ... I have just transferred management of Robert Shea's memorial to you and was proud to do it. My Thomas family has as well, a rich military heritage dating back to the Revolutionary War and continues through the service of my father, brother and now husband. I did some research on your Capt. William Somerville of PA and was curious if you'd explored the resources and holdings of the DAR. I have to apologize that it took me so long to get back to you with the transfer, however I was attending the DAR Genealogy Consultant training in DC all last week. Please know I would be happy to assist you with any further inquiries.
