Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years.

I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at www.mssdar.org/noahcole.

Re: Andrew Gladden
Linda, thank you for sending me the message about Andrew being the first husband of Martha Weir. I knew this but failed to add it to her memorial! I've linked him to her so their children will be linked as well. Do you happen to have any portraits of this family? Thank you again for bringing this to my attention and should you find other things that need added or corrected, please don't hesitate to let me know!

RE: Robert Letcher Harris
Thank you for your reply. Would it be possible to get a contact from this family asper a photo inquiry? Thanks, Garrett

Robert Letcher Harris
Hello, I was curious if you would be so kind as to send me larger versions of the two photos on Robert Letcher Harris of Dent Co. Mo. Findagrave# 14789787, (Robert's picture and the family gathering.) I would credit you if I could peruse them for a future local history book. I appreciate it, Garrett Gabel vessie_secesh@yahoo.com

Is the family gathering photo identified??

RE: Annie Dean Hill
The Sarah Dean buried at Riverview Cemetery is Annie Dean Hill’s mother. Sarah’s husband, George Dean, is not buried at Riverview because he died in England before the family came to America. Sarah Dean is also the mother of Jesse Dean, who died in 1926 and is buried at Riverview, and of Martha Dean Proudlove, wife of James J. Proudlove, Sr., also buried at Riverview. Sarah Dean had another daughter, Elizabeth Dean Robinson, who is buried at Glendale Cemetery in Akron, Ohio.

Annie’s husband, Lewis P. Hill, died in 1923 and is buried with his second wife at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Trenton. His name is spelled “Louis” on the headstone, but his burial location is confirmed by his obituary.

Licking Cemetery
Do you have access to the Licking cemetery records? I know that cemetery records "in the olden days" weren't very well kept but is there any indication who the infant twins, Edith and Ethel Ware born 2 Aug 1897 and died 13 Aug 1897 belong to? Perhaps some indication who bought the plot?

I'm thinking they were the daughters of John Washington Ware and his second wife Armitta Elizabeth Housden Ware West Ogden. Armitta and John have a son Clyde Chase Ware also born 4 Mar 1897. Clyde died 30 May 1963.

It's almost too much to be coincidence.

All the above players are buried in Licking Cemetery.

If this is outside your realm of interest etc. can you guide me to who does have the cemetery records?

I live in Arizona and can't just drop everything and come look myself (although I would love to!)

RE: Grace Page Clark - East Akron
I wonder it that was really Mabel's birth date. I will change the year, but leave the month and day the same for now.

Grace Page Clark - East Akron
Hi Linda,

I made the changes for Grace, linked her to her mother, and located and added (to the bio) the name of her husband. However, I was wondering what your source for the birth date was? The year you gave me was 1868, but she is not listed on the 1870 census - her parents have a daughter Mabel K., age 2. In 1880, Mabel is 12, and Grace shows up - age 8; hence born ca. 1872.
