I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, the Jamestowne Society, Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence, the National Huguenot Society, and the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. I just love researching family histories. I taught Jr. High English in the public schools for fourteen years. I was an Elementary Counselor and a librarian for fifteen years. |
I would love your contributions to the pages I've added. I especially want pictures of the people I have listed here. I am taking pictures of all the tombstones in my area in order to preserve family histories for future generations, especially those who wish to join DAR and other societies. I want to honor these people and truly wish for them to be "Gone but Not Forgotten." I want to create a page for each person with pictures and biographical information. My DAR webpage is at www.mssdar.org/noahcole.

|William "Darrell" Hosey||William Archie Mehearg Memorial|
Thank you very much for creating the memorial for William Archie Mehearg. According to his death certificate, he died in Tyler Co., TX. I don't know how he ended up with a burial place in Missouri and being the only grave.
|Carol Kelley||Florence Obermark|
I have linked Florence to her parents. Thank you for the info!
|Couple of Gravers||Clara Stogsdill|
Thanks for the heads up. There was a 13 y/o Clara Stogsdill listed on the 1920 US census for Union Twp., Webster County, Missouri. Upon further investigation, I found a 1928 marriage record of Clara Stogsdill to William Shockley, in Webster County, Missouri. This seems to indicate that the Clara Stogdill buried in Buckingham Cemetery is not the same Clara Stogsdill listed in the 1920 census referenced above.

|Marsha Baker||Thys Barentsen Swaim|
Hello Linda, I am a descendant of Thys Barentsen Swaim Find A Grave Memorial# 123537715.....and have been working on this line for quite a few days.
I'm wondering where to find the information on his marriages, is there a document somewhere?
Your memorial for him states that he married
1st married Peterke Jans of Holland in 1642
2nd married Scytie Cornelise
I'm so curious as to where you found this information.
Thank you so much for all that you do.

|Nadra Curtis||Linzy Earl Black|
Hi, I noticed that on Linzy's death certificate, it said he was buried at Roseberry. That is not correct, as you know, since you have taken the picture of his stone at Hutchason!! That is where Della is buried since she was a Schrader, just like her sisters, including my aunt Bessie. Just thought you might like to know!

Thank you Linda, for getting my dear little friend connected to her mom & dad. My granny used to pick her sometimes to go to church with us. She was a very sweet little girl, who died much too young.
