|William Ross||I'm a cousin...|
My dad was John W Ross. I think I may have
met you one time when I was a kid, Nancy. Just wanted to say thank you for keeping our family history alive.
The Turkey Farm is now closed. A Sad day, but life must always go on.
I love all the photos you have posted. I'm amazed at the strong line of genetics that have run through our family. I remeber your mother quite fondly...what a character she was!!
Feel free to contact me via e-mail or phone. 646-761-5052
William G. Haggle is buried at the Wolf river in Brown county, not this one.
|Karen L.(Gregory) Largent||RE: Hancock Family|
I am a double Blackburn! My 3 Greats grandfather Hancock married a Blackburn.
I can never remember how I am a double Blackburn. I'm always writing to Kevin Howley, the keeper of the Database.
He has found out for me that my Chiropractor is my cousin and that one of my Gregory cousin's wife is also my cousin!
Sometimes the relationship is through another name. I'm related to my cousin's wife through a Thomas Griffith and Eve Faulkner.
For me it's a small world all the time due to those prolific Blackburns!
I bet if I ask Kevin he could tell me right away. I'm going out of town today so I'll ask him tomorrow. Just give me maiden names and some ancestral names.
Karen (isn't this fun!)
|Mike Monro||Mary & Alexander Stanton|
I am related to Mary Barefoot and Alexander Vale Stanton. I found the grave sites in Somerset County Pennsylvania. I think he would be my G4 Grandfather. According to my family history, they had a son named John F. Stanton who married Katherine Bowman. I know that she was born 1846 and died 1918. I don't have dates for John F. Stanton, and I don't see John listed as one of the children but all the dates seem to line up. I'm very new at this and learning. Any advice or confirmation you can give me will be very helpful.
|Deborah Compton||Amelia Keener Sherman|
You are listed to have submitted Amelia Keener Sherman's information for find a grave at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka. Her birth month is March. She would be my great grandmother.
Her husband was Jeremiah Sherman. He is not located in Rochester Cemetery. If you or anyone else knows anything about Jeremiah, I would be extremely grateful. My grandmother Devota Sherman-Walters has passed away and I promised her I would find out where he was buried.
|Brian J. Ensley||RE: Grandview Cemetery, PA|
No problem- you've helped me many times, too. If I can ever be of any help back here, let me know, and thank you for the kind words!
|Cindy Elschide||If you ever run across|
If you ever run across a Susan Bellgarde Curwick, Kerouac or similar name. I am pretty sure she passed away in Shawnee county 1875-1880. She was married to Hyppolite (Paul). Several spellings of their name as been found.
Thank you for all the memorials you have made. They help others to connect with their family.
|GeekyGraveGirl||Lora and Oliver Yeager|
Thank you for the information on Lora Yeager. If you ever come across information on her husband, Oliver A. Yeager, that would be welcome. I am still searching for their markers at Valley View, the information I have came from another source. There is another Oliver Yeager (b. 1916) who is not this one, but who also lived in this area.
|bluebelles||RE: Beegles - Union Church|
Me too - re losing family in the flood - and I have found proof of some stones being moved to other cemeteries. It was a tragic time. I think I will do as you have done. Thanks for your help.
Hi Nancy, thanks for the transfer. I'm okay with you holding on the them if you want to keep a big family all together, so let me know. If not I'll take good care of them for you. I really appreciate all the work you've done. It really helps me in finding more about my family history. Have a great day!
