Bio Photo I had a dream the other night a delivery truck pulled up to the house and was unloading some huge boxes and crates, four in all. I am watching as they are being loaded into the house and then I saw PARR Cemetery stamped on the side of one of the crates. My friend John Jackson was just about to open it and I screamed "Don't open it"... and I woke up!

I was born in Ottumwa, Iowa raised in Munterville, Iowa then moving to Blakesburg, Iowa and on to Muscatine, Iowa. Find a Grave has helped me bring my family who lived before me together. My Great Aunt Dr. Stella Pearson, D.O. (Aunt Teddy) enjoyed going to the cemetery to clean up, decorate, and tell me the stories about each family member we visited. I have found so many of my family because of our early trips to the cemetery. I just wished I had taken notes when she was telling the stories of family history. I put in a request for a picture of my father's grave over three and a half years ago and no one ever bothered to take a photo for me. Four hundred miles later I had his picture and many more. Today my passion is to fill as many photo requests as I possibly can for those who need that last family photograph. I am getting good at finding a grave and the walks are wonderful!

I have entered several cemetery records from online sources on snow or rain days so if I have any of your family no matter the relationship I will transfer just ask me and I will make it happen. Please provide your contributor number.

If you want multiple monuments photographed, please take the time to create a memorial for each person rather than attach a message to one request asking for multiple photos.

Family First,
Christine Masterson & John Jackson

A new-to-me cousin, Marv Allen #46619263, has become the new coordinator of the Montgomery County, KY Gen Web site. Although there are some primary documents there, he's looking for more. Have any to share?

Masterson & Turley Research
Have you read these books for your research on James Turley & the Mastersons?

I ordered these books through World Cat:

4. A Masterson sued the Fletcher (my 4th great-grandfather's) estate. The information was retrieved from Daniel Stowell's website: The Law Practice & Papers of Abraham

5. There is a newspaper article published in the Summer of 1856 in which Martin White has written a letter to a Charles Hurst of Springfield, IL about the Pottawatomie Massacre in the Kansas territories. He mentions J. M. Masterson in it. One of the newspaper databases ought to have it. I don't remember which one I found it on -- ProQuest, Newspaperarchive, Gale group, or the Library of Congress.

6. I also received some church minutes from a Lake Fork Primitive Baptist church from the Logan County Historical Society in Lincoln, IL.

The contributor I mentioned before is researching the Masterson & Northcutt families also. She is MAS #47453497.

By the way, have you traced Nancy Margaret White's family back?

Are you a descendant of James Turley of Logan County, IL and/or a descendant of the Masterson's of Christian County, IL? I'm researching my 3rd great grandfather, Elder Martin White #50298335 and those two surnames have come up in my research. Martin White was born in Montgomery County, KY and apparently James Turley came from the same area. If you are, there may be a relative of yours in my messages list on my profile page.

Do you know or could you find out your next trip to Greenwood Cem. if this is a small baby or child & if he is buried in a designated Baby only area of the cemetery. Thank you for your time. Have a great weekend. Take care & God bless.
