Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired public relations executive, inspector, newspaper columnist, fine arts artist, short story writer, "Ghost writer" and author of more than 35 books, including CHEESMAN FAMILY HERITAGE, The CHEESMAN DOSSIER, CHEESMAN DOSSIER II: RELATED FAMILIES, and The ILLUSTRATED GARDEN OF STONES Cemetery Book series.
It's difficult to read many old burialstones, depending on the style and technique of the stone engraver, or simply depending on age, wear and mother nature... an 8 might be taken for a 3, or a 5 might be mistaken for a 6, among other numeral combinations. Also bear in mind that some stone carvers have made mistakes because the written material for them to inscribe from was not always clear or legible.
If I am found to have misread a monument, let me know and I will promptly correct it as soon as I am able. Except for the cemeteries that I've worked on and have written about, my primary focus is on Cheeseman - Cheesman - Chessman and all variations of the surname, people related and associated to these families, and their their close friends.
I usually go on-line about once a month more or or less... Quite frankly, I don't trust or really care for computers because of so much misinformation, dirt, viruses and trechery that's commonly posted on them. Find-a-grave is one of the very few sites that I trust and go on.
I am certainly and genuinely always happy to hear from relatives and friends, and will try to respond to inquries as soon it is possible.
Your thoughts and messages are important to me, but I am slow at times, so please be patience.

Surnames that I am primarily focused on for a new book in progress:
Augastat / Augustat, Baker, Bernabe, Besser, Cheesman / Cheeseman / Cheseman, Chesman / Chessman, / Chisman, Clark, Cox, Cupps, Friar / Fryer, Hedger, Herrin / Herring / Heron, Hughes, LaHa, Laundry / Landrie, Orcutt, Plough, Sexton, Thornburg / Thornburgh, Valentine, Willson / Wilson.

Associated surnames; Brennecke, De Floris, Pellizzaro, Ramos, Renaud, Somogyi, Stachowski / Stackowski, among others.

There are 2 memorials for Ben. Yours and one by Betty Coogan My suggestions would be for you to contact Betty for her information she has added to Ben's memorial. She puts her heart into this org.

In working with Betty. she has been kind and thoughtful in transferring my family and friends. I think she would be willing to transfer Ben's memorial to you, enabling you to add all of Ben's information that she has included.

For your information:
Your # 14712556, dated 6/23/2006
Betty's #35656422, dated 4/8/2009

Irene Perry
There are two of Irene Perry's in Memory Gardens Rensselaer. You may want to take yours off. I noticed it because I'm trying to get ALL of those that are "planted" out at Memory Gardens on to Find-a-grave. I'm thankful for those like you that have placed some info on the site about them. Take a look at the other site and you decide! The reason I'm working on Memory Gardens is because I noticed that lots of my family that are buried out there are not on find-a-grave. So I decided to take lots of phots and that could be my winter project. Now when the weather is warmer I need to get all those by the county road and SR 114. Thank you for all that you have done on find-a-grave. Just another "grave digger"!

Cameron Famiiy
Hi David, After looking through all the Cameron entries, I realized I could add a lot to each person's biography. I correspond with two descendants of Isabel and Robie Cheesman. After looking at all the of Cameron siblings, I see you did Helen, George, and Isabel. There was also Ariel, Robert, William, and a Henry who nobody knew anything about except he change is name to Charles Clinton and director of the US mint in New Orleans. I have all of this documented and I have pictures of the entire family that were found in my mother's house before and after she passed away in 2012. Her mother and aunt passed away within four months of each other and she inherited part of two households. She never unpacked a lot of boxes for forty year, which was left up to us. I have returned one photo of Robert Bruce Cameron to a great-great-grandson who lives in Colorado. Now that I am at an age when I need to start returning as many pictures as I can to the various families I have researched over the years. So as far as George and Isabel, am I able to post stories and pictures or do I need to have you do it? My email address is The tree on Ancestry where all of my research can be found is under Lendt and Caswell Family Tree. The Caswell family has a connection to the Patterson Family in Leeds County, Ontario, Canada. This is a story I can relate later if yoo're interested. Jack

Helen Cameron Durham
Hi David, I don't know if you get this message but in Helen Cameron Durham's bio page, you have her mother listed as Julia Purdy but she was Julia A. Patterson. I am Helen great-great-grandson. I hope you can change it. Thanks. Jack Leaven
