We have been involved with family history for over 40 years. Please respect the time and expense that people give to obtain the photos by acknowledging their efforts and posting their name or FAG # with the photo wherever you re-post it on the web. |
As for the photos my husband and I take, please do not post these to other websites. private or public! You may, however, provide a link to any of the memorials we manage or photos we have taken. Copyright 2003 by shirleyw55. All rights reserved.
If you want to manage a site we have posted, we need to know your relationship with the deceased before we will even consider letting you have a memorial.We want direct lines to have the opportunity first... then cousins. Please post that relationship via the email below or on this site under memorials.
Once you make a request please keep track of how often you request. We will respond. email@example.com Many of the cemeteries that I have posted are ones we have been to and contain my family lines. If you are related to the deceased, please let me know on my profile page or via my email firstname.lastname@example.org

|Trisha Bennett||Henry Arnold Carr|
Thanks for all of your work Shirley,
I noticed that there is an error on the page showing the memorial for Henry Arnold Carr. The error has his birth date wrong. He was 79 years old when he died in 1880 so that makes his birth year as 1801. Would you please change the date shown on his page.
|Richard Purkey||Lena Cox|
I had a chance to look at the later cemetery records and found that Lena's son Carson died of scarlet fever , July 18, 1926, in Byers, Kansas. He is buried next to his parents in Brookside.
|Joann Geybels||RE: Helen Carr|
I have changed Helen (Carr) Burgess's parents on her memorial. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. The census information that you sent belongs on Helen's parents' memorials, and I am not managing them. To have information added there, you should contact the manager of those two memorials.
I took this picture in 2011. Can I send you an enlargement thru E-Mail please.

|Robert and Mary Ankenbauer||Sarah A. Pearson Chessman|
Here is her Find A Grave no.
Find A Grave Memorial# 40661042
Sincerely, Bob Ankenbauer
|Robert and Mary Ankenbauer||Sarah Pearson Chessman - North Branch Cemetery, Earlham, Iowa|
I see that you have the parents of Sarah Pearson Chessman listed as George and Nancy (Spencer) Pearson.
My research (and that of others) indicates that Sarah Pearson was the daughter of John Pearson (died 1876) and Sidney (Rees) Smith (died 1895). Sidney Smith is buried at the same cemetery as Sarah Pearson Chessman.
It is always possible that my research is in error. Could you let me know about the information on George and Nancy (Spencer) Pearson?
Thanks, Bob Ankenbauer
|Ann Watson||Sarah Margaret Hockett|
Shirley: Sarah is buried in the Northbranch, Jewell Co. KS cemetery, #42382635. She was born about 1871 in Iowa and died March 17, 1899. She was the daughter of Stephen B Hockett (11-2-1833 born in Cherry Grove, Randolph, Indiana. He died Aug 5, 1805 at Cowlitz, Washington, however I unable to locate a grave for him and his wife. His wife was Margaret E Doan, (1830-1903)
Stephen is on page 200 of HOM Book.
Sarah Margaret's brother, Stephen Linsey Hockett is buried in the Burr Oak, Jewell, KS cemetery.
Since I can't find Sarah's father's grave, there is no way to connect her to any of her family. I sent a suggestion to the owner of Stephen Linsey's contributor, and maybe they will at least mention it on his memorial.
I know you are doing a lot on the Hocketts, and thought you might someday run across the graves for her Mother and Father.
