I have entered many from Elmwood Cemetery in DeWitt, Iowa. |
If anyone has additional information, or I have made an error, please use the EDIT feature, or I can transfer them, provided the date of birth and death are completed. If you use the new EDIT feature where you can, type in the suggested changes. I will generally check it weekly and accept the changes. That is the preferred method rather than sending me the information for me to update the files, unless you have additional information, then I will be glad to update the memorial.
I encourage you to claim the memorials if they are family and add more details if you can. Just ask and I will transfer them.
I have absolutely NO relationship to anyone in ELMWOOD.
My goal would be to transfer each of them to someone knowledgeable and willing to add more information the people.
Please feel free to copy photos I've added on Find A Grave.com for your own family history records. It is not necessary to contact me directly for permission.I appreciate the photos on Find A Grave and will attempt to help where I can.

|William Mattingly||RE: Leona Swift|
Leona is a distant relative to me and not within the parameters set by Findagrave. I appreciate the offer but I don't think I can improve on her memorial beyond what you have. Thank you for making the update on her maiden name.
|R. Jeanne Moran||Wiese/Hammer Transfers|
Hello Jon: I am ecstatic to have these recent transfers. Also, I suspect you had a hand in the transfer of Caroline Wiese. It is with pleasure that I report I have found her husband, as well. A million thanks. Jeanne.
|Janice Hollandsworth||Irvin Ehlers.|
Thank you for taking the time to get this photo request and for taking multiple photos of his grave site. I appreciate it.
|Connie Carl||Isabella Mars|
Thank You so much for the photo of Isabella's Grave. I really appreciate it. Connie
|Andrew Michaelsen||RE: Elmwood|
Thanks for your kind words. Usually I focus on my ancestors, but since most of them ended up in Clinton County, why not look beyond Goose Lake, Charlotte and Sabula.
As a neophyte, it is a pleasure to build on a solid foundation you and others have provided.
|PBadtram||BIG OOPS on Brenda Mickey|
I accidentally just sent you an edit for Brenda Sue Mickey with the wrong parental info on it. (Got my memorial numbers mixed up.) M.R. Beach is NOT Brenda's Mother. Please disregard. Sorry! I will send the correct edit in a minute.

Thanks Jon! And for the transfer of people.
|Jody Beaston||Leona Beaston|
Can you add this information on Aunt Leona Beaston, she died on Nov 8 2012, Clarisa C Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, Iowa, She is buried at Elmwood Cemetery, De Witt, Clinton, Iowa
|Justin Masters||Odd problem with 79748739|
Jon, for some reason, entry 79748739 does NOT show up with a search for Meredith or MEREDITH within Elmwood cemetery. Can you maybe modify her name so that it shows up as Meredith (Only 1st capital letter?)
Also, I'd be happy to have a few of those Meredith graves transferred to myself to add info to, etc. I'm descended from David P. Meredith and Sarah Bush Meredith.
They were actually married to each other twice.
Married, then divorced,
each married other spouses,
then remarried each other again.
|JudyChildsMohr||RE: George Erickson|
Actually, I had checked the web site before I went out to the cemetery and saw the pic so not a problem. Because I saw another Erickson photo request I went to cemetery anyway and posted the military plaque that was on the backside of George Erickson's stone. I live very close to Swedesburg so go by there frequently.
