Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love Find-A-Grave as a research tool. It's just too difficult to personally visit each and every cemetery in my huge family tree.

If you have any additional info or photos to add to any of my memorial pages, or if you are a close relative and would like a memorial transferred to you, just let me know.

You are welcome to use any photos I've taken and posted for other sites such as Ancestry.com and for personal use. Please just add a line saying where you got the photo so others who come along will know where to look for more info.

I'm actively researching a number of family names, including Vale, Hartman, Hooker, Milburn, Howard, Cornman, Bailey, Stutzman, Yoder, Smith & Berkey (just to name a few).

RE: Henry & Anna Hogquist
Sue,

I have a hard time believing that Cass County would ship a deceased to Swift County for burial in the potter's field. Cass Co. is 200 miles north of Swift Co.

However, the info on Henry is:

Death Certificate Index
Certificate Number: 1940-MN-002347
Death: May 2, 1940
County of Death: Cass County, Minnesota, United States
Subject: Death records
Type: Text, Government Record, Historical Records

MN Historical Society may be cheaper if you don't need a certified copy of the certificate.

The info on Anna can be obtained from:

Swift County Historical & Genealogical Society
2135 Minnesota Avenue
Benson, MN 56215
Phone: 320-843-4467
e-mail: swiftmuseum@embarqmail.com

Hope this helps. I will get with our city office and see what else they have.

Hi,
Thanks for letting me know, BUT.
That was nice of you to make the page for Frank. You put in the picture request for Bonnie's page and I already put pictures on Bonnie's page.
I had asked you a few days ago if you wanted to make a page for Frank and I never got any response back.
I don't suppose you could put in a request for pictures of Frank's grave from Frank's page could you?

RE: Henry & Anna Hogquist
Sue,

At the time of Anna Hogquists' death, Henry was in the Granite Falls TB sanitarium, which is located in Yellow Medicine County, MN. Granite Falls is the county seat.

Anna died of pneumonia in Swift County. Her death certificate is available through the County Treasurer, I think they are $15.00.

According to the city cemetery guy, Anna and Henry are from Northern MN; St. Hilare and Middle River, MN. I don't know who is from which place.

The local historical/genealogical society has the newspaper from 1940 that has the story of Anna's death & burial.

I will check and see if Henry is actually buried or died in Yellow Medicine. I know they had 3 kids.

Hope this helps.

RE: Leonhart & Manning-Seguin
Sacred Heart cemetery was closed and all burials were either moved to the current site where Mount Calvary cemetery is and in a section for those reinterred, or they were moved to another cemetery.
Since the obituary says Sacred Heart, they were likely originally buried there, but moved to a different cemetery when it was closed. There is now a Catholic school there.

Bonnie Frances Young Martin
Hi,
You made a request for pictures of Bonnie Martin's grave. Her husband is buried next to her. Do you want to make a page for him or do you want me to do it? If you do could you make a request for pics for his page too?

Sue, do you want me to see if there are obits or any info at our local historical/genealogical societies?

I will be more than happy to check for you, it will save you money if there isn't anything.

Just let me know and I can run over tomorrow or Tuesday.
