I became very interested in my own family history after my grandparents died in the mid 1990's, I did a bit of genealogy, but mainly all the research was by hand. After I retired from working in the mid 2000's, I have had much more time to travel to various research places and numerous cemeteries, to take genealogy classes, and spend countless hours doing research and countless hours doing data entry and also writing up several family lines. It is a labor of love that I find satisfying, interesting and rewarding. I hope to leave my family members so much more than I ever knew about our family.|
In 2009 my cousin Karen Aguirre completed her extensive research on the eight major Duran family lines and wrote biographies including many photographs of Duran family members. She did an outstanding job and deserves the credit for most of our Duran family history!
In early 2010 I began adding deceased family members and whenever possible scanning old photos to add to their individual pages - it has been most rewarding. In late summer of 2010 I have been concentrating on photographing and adding persons buried in the Gonzales Cemetery where my grandparents are buried.

Monte, welcome back home. Kindest regards, Ben
|Ben Martinez||Gils Cano|
A wonderful bio and great photo of Gils. He was some man. I've linked Sheriff William J. "Bill" Nesbitt's, FG Memorial# 79868292, to Gils memorial.
Keep up the fine work.

I've been research my ggg-parents Louis Alvarado and Eliza (Lizzie) Osborn, but have ran into a real roadblock with the Osborn family and Louis' parents. I was wondering if you could help me? I understand that Lizza and her brother Robert Osborn were in Jesus and Mary Duran's wedding. I assumed that Lizza had died before Louis married Altagracia Barcelone in 1893 ish....Could you provide any additional information on the Osborn family? Thank you Shannon

You are so welcome.
I'll add her pic right now.

I'm sorry that I spoke too soon.
Dora's memorial has reached the limit of photos without sponsorship.
But you can see their gravestone picture on Delfino's memorial.
If you'd like me to attach and send the photo to you, just let me know.

I have just posted the photo of their gravestone on each of their memorials.

Have been away for a while and am just catching up. Yes, the Barbettinis are kinfolk of mine and a transfer would be fine. I appreciate the offer.
PS. Thanks for the marker photo!
Thanks so much for the transfer. I will take good care of it.
