I am retired my goal is to add all of the cemeteries in Citrus County, but not just names but photographs too. I have added over 200 photographs to New Hope Cemetery. My other goal is to prove that New Hope is in Citrus County (I did) and also to map Oak Ridge so there is only one listing, not two. As a "Citrus County Keeper" I will continue to list all obituaries from the Chronicle every day. Week-ends may take a day or two longer. I am happy to fulfill photo requests and while I am doing that I always try to take a few more pictures to add. I do not want to be a pest when I try to straighten out these cemeteries, I realize that if you do not live here you are not familiar with some of the places. Also, some funeral homes are listed under cemeteries. We are trying to correct that.|
If anyone has an addition or correction to anything I have posted please contact me and I will quickly correct it. I am more than happy to turn over ownership to anyone who requests it. AND PLEASE IF YOU SEE THAT I HAVE ENTERED A NAME TWICE, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT. It is easy to make a duplicate without realizing it.
I believe that we are doing a service for future generations. I am dismayed that most newspapers are charging more for obituaries and only a few lines are free. This often leaves out date of birth and place of birth.
There is still a lot of work to do. Many current obituaries don't get recorded.
Some people are here only to add numbers, they do not care about preserving history.

|Faye McCranie||W Harvey Edwards duplicate|
Re; duplicate for W Harvey Edwards interred at Crystal River Cemetery. I notice that you created the first one 2006, then googlit created a second one 2012. I too received several "transfers" which were originally created by googlit which I did not request but, as always I am honored to maintain them. Some that were transferred were in the wrong cemetery (Crystal River vs. Crystal Memorial) & some were duplicates. Since the latter gravestone post was transferred to you, you have the option of deleting it yourself. I had attempted to contact googlit multiple times but, never got a response. I did email findagrave about a year ago to tell them of the multiple duplicates & stones posted to the wrong cemetery & let them handle it from there. By the way, thanks again for the transfer of my sister, Pauline Johnson from Fero memorial gardens to my care.
|Kevin Price||Thank you|
Thanks so much for finding and creating a memorial page for Alfred Shaw in Florida National Cemetery. And also thank you for transferring his memorial page.

Thank You for entering my brother Hank to the Florida National Cemetery. I Know it will take weeks for his marker to be put on his grave, but would appreciated you taking the time to take a photo of his maker.
