I make a concerted effort to confirm all info I enter, including family links, by accessing as many reliable resources as possible. If anyone offers corrections and/or additional info, I will probably transfer the memorial to you unless I have a personal interest/connection.|

I meant people buried at this grave, not period buried at this grave. No need for me to make this more confusing.

|Photag||RE: Ellen Fitz|
Hi, yes, I can. I was confused myself until I did some research. Both Ellen Fitz and Margaret (Gordon) Gerard are the daughters of Timothy and Sarah Gordon. Margaret (Gordon) Gerard was the wife of John Galen Gerard. The other women buried at the grave with Ellen Fitz in the photo you took are John Galen Gerard's sisters, Laura Gerard and Bessie (Gerard) Ellis. Daniel Fitz, obviously, is Ellen Fitz's husband. As far as connections among the period buried at this grave go, Margaret (Gordon) Gerard connects them.
I assume they are all buried together because Margaret (Gordon) Gerard decided to bury her sister Ellen and Ellen's husband with her own husband's two sisters (her sisters-in-law).
The "R" in Ellen Fitz's name on the stone stands for Remby, which was her first husband's last name. So, her full name was Ellen Gordon Remby Fitz. She also used the first name Ella, which is the name in her obituary.
I was happy to see the photo you took, but I was also so confused because I had no idea of this "Ellen Gerard." I thought maybe she was a sister I didn't know about, but she's just a relative by marriage.

Jacob and Sarah Place are my g. great grandparents. Their daughter, Emily Frances Place is my great grandmother. Is there a way to connect the parents to Emily Frances Place Sunderland?
Thank you for the transfers. You didn't have to do that, but I do appreciate it.

|Michele Ryals||William Franklin Ryals born 1801 died 1891|
This William Franklin Ryals is my 4th great-grandfather. I am wondering if you are in the family line. Or if you tell me anything about the Arkansas area where he lived. I have only "passed through" Arkansas once. Which was long before my fascination with family history began.
Do you have any further information on his siblings were his parents?
I appreciate you read willing to share what you have accumulated. If I can ever return the favor I will.
