Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love history and NASCAR. I went with my brother to look for a family member at a local cemetary and was inspired to document the history of the people in my home town.

I am also posting some that my brother took that he doesn't have time to post himself.

My theory is that even though I never met almost any of these people, I want to make sure that they are not forgotten, and lost to history.

Patrick Arthur Teater Sr.
Isaac Croshier vs. Crozier
I have to let you know I am related to the Croshiers through my great grand father; Samuel Croshier, who was a brother to Isaac Croshier, and I am not sure where Sarah is getting her spelling from, but everyone in my family I have researched in my tree from great grand father down has all been spelt Croshier, including Isaac. My cousin has a letter from the civil war from Samuel Croshier that also mentions Isaac, and again all names are spelt as stated. The civil war records also reflect the spelling as Croshier. Findagrave states that memorials should match the stone, and in many cases I have found misspellings in my name (my great grand mother is buried under Teator, and my name is Teater). I am not sure how she may be related as I have not researched forward enough in Isaac's tree, but I am letting you know that Crozier is not the correct spelling in any of the records or research I have come across.

This memorial page is for Cora B it possible the date of her death is 1935 instead of 1925. I can see it is very hard to read. However, I am finding her and her husband on the 1930 Census as living with their son and also in 1932 on the US City Directories as living with her husband.

My great grandfather is the John Cheetham in Rural cemetery whose photo you posted, was this just chance , or had there been a request. I have travelled from the UK to visit the grave, Isabella Walters buried next to him is his daughter. Any further information would be gratefully appreciated.

Isaac Crozier
It is soooo nice to see my great grandfather with his correct spelling of last name. For some reason, the Crozier's have been many times changed to a Crozhier. Thanks for the proper thing.

Roland Colgate
Thank you for posting a picture of Roland Colgate's grave. I knew him many years ago and never heard what had become of him. He often told me what he wanted on his gravestone - I was glad to see that he got what he wanted.
