I have no relation to most of the memorials I manage.

Make sure to submit all corrections using the Edit tab. If you are a family member, I will typically transfer the memorial to you. You know more about the individual then I do. I just ask that if someone who is even closer to that individual reaches out to you, pay it forward and transfer the memorial to them!

Also, this site wouldn't be what it is without all of the excellent photo volunteers. Thank you, Thank you! As a reminder to photo volunteers, if you go to the cemetery to fulfill a request, try to look for any stones that have the same surname near the one you are photographing. Take pictures and upload those too! If they do not have a memorial already created, create one, and upload the picture. That may always help in someone's quest to find where family members are buried.

RE: request and thanks
Thank you so much for getting these photos for me. I added a memorial so that each twin would have their own. I will do a little more research on Carlie. Thanks again...Gloria J.

I understand your thoughts. The way I understand it, the family is giving permission for the funeral home and/or newspaper to publish it. But, they have not given permission for someone to post it elsewhere, such as Find A Grave. Also, having the information of living individuals and where they live sets them up for identity theft and people calling in hopes of extorting money. Yes, they can get that info from the newspaper, but that is local. Having it on Find A Grave allows others with internet access (and in foreign countries, such as Nigeria)to easily find the information and use it for the wrong reason. Since the newspaper name and date is included, someone needing the additional information for genealogy purposes has a way to find it. Does that make sense?

George Sapp
I am sorry. The Sapps' I am referring to that are buried on Sapp land are George Sapp and Christina Texter (or Textor). They were not George's parents. They are related to him, but I am not exactly sure how. Do you know how they are related?
Is the George you are asking about called George "Kentucky" Sapp?

St. Luke's
I am also related to practically everyone buried at St. Luke's. We may be related. My bloodlines inlude Sapp, Durbin, Arnold, Blubaugh, Colopy, Logsdon.

George Sapp and Margaret Logsdon Sapp are not listed in the cemetery records. They may be buried at the cemetery and not listed, or they could be buried on Sapp land. According to a booklet on the history of St. Luke's Church, George's parents are thought to be buried in the area of today's One South Mickley Street, Danville. Maybe George and Margaret are buried with them. If I ever come across anything on George and Margaret's final resting place, I will let you know.

If you want more information or to exchange email addresses, I would do it using the edit tab to keep it private.

Grave Markers
Thank you so much for taking a picture of the grave markers and adding to the memorials for the following family members.
Memorial #130843205
Memorial #130818278
Memorial #130849744
I live in Virginia and I am trying to update or add memorials for all of my family in the Raleigh, NC area. I understand that Mary Ophelia Mitchell Wall and George Madison Mitchell, Jr. are also buried at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh, but there are not memorials for them. If you happen to come across their grave markers, I need to add them also, but I have no information on them other than their parents Elsie E. Mitchell (memorial #114678879) and George M Mitchell (memorial #114678902)

Since I walked Evergreen in Auburn and didn't find the stone. I have gone through all the books for other cemeteries and I can't find her listed. I am assuming that there is no know marker for her. Would you like me to report the issue under the claims and have it removed or do you want to cancel it? Dan
