In memory of my father, Jack L. Sheldon, Sr. (1925 - 2011), our immediate family is originally from Michigan. My parents movedd to Mesa, Arizona in 1971, among other reasons, to care for my grandmother, Nellie (Page) Sheldon Nolan (1890 - 1973). It was a visit to her gravesite in the Mesa City Cemetery in 1999 when I realized just how little we knew about our Sheldon roots.|
Through my father's cousin, Roberta "Bobbie" (Mains) Whitbeck (1916 - 2004), who had our family Bible, a connection was made to Sheldon Family Association records. Much of my genealogy researh has then been focused on this family (ggg-grandparents Sheldon and their 7 children).
Paternal interests include: SHELDON, JOHNSON, CRANDALL, BURR, PAGE, MEAD, SHERMAN, & AUSTIN. (Descendants of genealogies of John Sheldon of South Kingstown, RI (SFA No. S0013), Elder John Crandall of Rhode Island (twice), Captain John Johnson, and Benjamin Burr of Hartford, Connecticut).
Maternal interests include: SHUSTER, OVERPACK, McCARTHY, BUSH, GERTHOFFER, LARKINS, & THORN. (Descendants of Daniel Shuster, well known Revolutionary War soldier, and related to Silas Overpack who invented the Michigan Big Wheels that brought great improvements to early 1800's logging days in the mitten state).
My wife, Barbara, is a descendant of the Oihus and Trudeau families of Walsh County, North Dakota.
Thank you for visiting and for those leaving memorials and photographs.

You're most welcome, Jack. That sounds like a good idea to wait awhile.
My condolences to you and your family in the loss of your father-in-law, Jack.
re: Gordon Oscar Oihus
Hi Debbie: Thank you for your suggested edit to my father-in-law's memorial. I will update the memorial pending approval from family members. Although the obituary is customary, I am giving just a little time for healing before diving into making the inquiries. I understand that the obituary is already public, and we wrote it, after all. We have more to share. My very best regards. Jack.

Great Jack! Hope I can help him at some point.

You are welcome...and it is a large task to photograph a cemetery. It took me all summer to do it. I use it as my ME time...it is quiet and I get to do a lot of thinking.

|Sue Ann Moehle Allen||Luella Johnson Moehle|
I have been trying to contact you for years and then I came upon this site and joined.
My name is Sue Ann Moehle Allen, I live in Citrus County, Fl.,. but I am from Wellington, Ohio. My grandmother was Luella Johnson Moehle, my father was Gaylord Bird Moehle.
I had taken so much of you information on the Moehle and Bassett, etc., side of my family, which I would like to thank you for all the time you have put into our history. I have learned a lot from you and applied what I learned and asked my mother, Mary Helen Cornish Moehle Wrobble, who is still living at the age of 95 years, to fill in the blanks.
I have one picture of my greatgrandmother, Lillian Johnson Bassett, and some of my grandmother Luella, if you are interested.

I am going thru the Death Ceriticates of Calhoun Co Michigan and found one for a infant male of Jack And Nina buried in the Partello Cemetery. Which I linked to parents. Would like management of this memorial?

I can't remember if I responded to your note or not (brain freeze). The History of Delaware County by Munnsell is at http://www.dcnyhistory.org/munsell.html
I have not checked it for the names mentioned but would appreciate if you find anything.
|Scott Robertson||Sarah Ann Runyan|
Jack, your sister says you're the genealogist so I'll ask you for more info on Sarah Ann Runyan, daughter of Elizabeth Runyan (Find A Grave Memorial# 15007830) and Samuel Runyan Sr. I need a source on her death date which is supposedly 2 Sep 1863. She was born about 1836 in Ohio. I'm either breaking down a brick wall or doing in a good theory if you can help me locate this information! Thanks.
|Butterfly||RE: Thank you...|
You never need to thank me for visiting your dad. :-)
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family today.
With all my love,
your friend, Khaylayne
I have transferred all three of those memorials to you.
You're welcome. Check the captions for verification of Interment Records.
