Myrta (Myrtle) Foster Steele

Thank you for linking to the parents. I do not have a photo. We have a Foster reunion coming up in August. I will ask cousins. It might be possible to find one. My grandfather was a brother to Myrta (Myrtle).

Elizabeth are you sure of the spelling of this name? The spelling of "Myrtle" was given to me by my mother, who was a Foster. All of Myrta's (Myrtle) generation are gone as is the next generation with the recent passing of my Uncle John Foster, my mother's brother. Just because Mom gave me the name Myrtle only means that was what she was called by the family. Myrta had four siblings, and I am working to get them all linked to the parents. For your information they were: Edward Alexander Foster, Robert Carl Foster, Edgar Foster and Harry C. Foster.

Thank you very much.

RE: Myrta Foster
Good morning Elizabeth,

Myrtle Ellen Foster's parents are AAron Culver Foster #79332596; Mother Marguerite Marsh Wilson #79332597.

Myrtle Foster was born October 1888 in Napoleon, Ripley County, Indiana. She and Claude Steele were married October 7, 1955.

I have copy/pasted a portion of Myrtle's brother, Harry C Foster #24580602, obituary.

Surviving daughters are Mrs James (Doris) Tallent, R.R.4, Rushville, Mrs Margaret Kine, Charlestown, Mrs Carl (Bonnie) Smith, Clyde, Ohio, Mrs Ronald (Carolyn) Hillebrand, Rushville, and Mrs William (Sue) Johnson, R.R.8, Greensburg, and the surviving sons are James Foster, Rushville, Dallas Foster, South Carolina, Leslie and Robert Foster, both of R.R.8, Greensburg and William and Harry Foster Jr., both of Clyde, Ohio.

He is also survived by a sister, Mrs Claude Steele in Oklahoma, 50 grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Thank you very much. I deeply appreciate this.

adding parents
I have added Joseph Anselment's parents to findagrave, but the page will not take an edit at the top of the page for them to be added. Could you please help me with this problem.

Alice Clem
I have deleted Alice's memorial in Maple Dale. I have run into this before where the paper will state one cemetery and there will be a stone in a different cemetery. I feel Linden Lawn is probably the correct burial place, as the area close to where the cemetery is located was known as Clem's Grove. Thanks for your correction.

RE: Thinking of you
Happy New Year to you too. Life is good at my home. My family welcomed a set of great-grandbaby twins (a boy and a girl) in March, and another great-granddaughter in August. Christmas was BUSY with five great-grandchildren under the age of five. We had a wonderful time and the nine month old twin girl even ripped her packages open by herself. Thanks for checking in with me. I think of you and Shayla often as I'm strolling through the Findagrave records.

Caroline R. Vandergrift Old Memorials
Your memorial to Caroline was created first. I would be willing to transfer the second memorial created by me to you. This second memorial has a linkage to her husband and a photograph of their double grave marker. If I delete my memorial to her, then the said photograph would be lost. Do you want me to delete my memorial to her or transfer it to you for management?

Re: Memorial # 92119297 burial site should be Old Hogan Cemetery in Botetourt County, VA and not Hogan Cemetery, Roanoke Co., VA
Note double grave marker photograph that indicates that she is buried next to her spouse,
Madison Alan Old. Upon your notation, please contact me and I'll transfer the duplicate to you so that said posted photograph will not be lost.

RE: Manning/Rose family
No they were not her brothers. They were sons of her brother Thomas. That is why I wanted you to email me instead of posting messages here.
