When I was born, we lived in Caldwell County, MO and now live in Daviess County, MO. I have lived in these two counties all my life, except for 7 years when I was a child and lived near Abilene, KS. |
I have always enjoyed sitting at the table at family dinners and hearing the older people tell stories about people and times in the past.
I became involved in looking for my genealogy when I got a computer a few years ago. My grandparents are buried in Caldwell County and some of my great and great-great grandparents as well. Some of the names I am researching are LOONEY, SLOAN, FARR, GREEN on my side and HOOD, GARRISON, STORY, HARRIS on my husband's side.
If you are looking for further information on Caldwell or Daviess County, Missouri ancestors, the following are some of my favorite websites:

Caryn, I've been researching Emanuel and Lizzie Stitt. I've put together enough census records to show that they had nine children. Robert b.1900, Elsie b.1903, Opal b.1905, Ruth b.1907, Bonnie b.1908, Leota b.1910, Raymond b.1920, Imogene b.1924 and Norma b.1927. Emanuel and Lizzie are buried in the Oakridge Cemetery north of Pattonsburg, Mo. Could you correct their Bio please? Thanks, Steve Neemann Auburn, NE

I truly want to thank you for transferring her memorial to me, you do have a few others I would like to have transferred, her family members if your not related to them, I'm related to them, if I have any of your family members let me know I would be happy to transfer them to you or if your looking for info maybe I can help in your searches, I was hoping you might have pics of this cemetery or other pics of their headstones you wouldn't mind to share, I live way to far to take my own photos and would so appreciate them, again thank you for the transfer.

Lena Davis was my great grandmother. You have her parents listed as William Parriott Davis and Rachel Elizabeth Phillips. My research shows her parents as being Mathew Franklin Davis and Sarah Elizabeth Smith. And her siblings were Lattie, Grover and Permelia, who my dad knew. Can you tell me where you got your info from? Thank you, Cheryl Brittsan Vandiver
