Newmansville Cemetery Photo Request
I spent the afternoon today out at the Newmansville Cemetery. Sorry I wasn't able to find your request. There are many markers that have been damaged and worn beyond recognition and some that are partially buried which leads me to believe there are many buried there. I spoke with the lady that runs the bait shop there, the only business and one of only a handful of residents there. Once upon a time that was a thriving community, but as many of our rural towns have done, there isn't much of it left anymore. I wish I could have been of more help to you as I know how important it is to some of us researching our roots. Darrel

RE: Wm and Betsy Wait
I have family at the North and South Cemetery on Isle La Motte so it was no problem. The town has been replacing stones when they can, these are not as ornate as the originals.

RE: Harriet Gates
Glad to help! Sorry I didn't have the presence of mind to shoot photos of the two little boys' markers beside her. Next time! Harriet's stone is in pretty good shape, intact and standing. I had to dig out a bit to reveal the last line.

Thank you very much for the picture of Joseph and Mariam's headstone. Your time and efforts are very much appreciated. The photo adds that dimension to the memorial nothing else will do. Jim German

Drexel Cemetery-Charles Wilson not Wison
I am so sorry. I spelled Charles' last name incorrectly when I created his memorial. Thank you for your time trying to locate his grave. I have corrected my mistake and have posted another request.
