----> ADOPT AN ORPHAN !! <---
I have many orphan memorials - meaning I'm not related and they need someone to properly manage them. I transfer outside FaG guidelines as I am in this for family, not fame...

Ask for a transfer(s) by using the EDIT button on the memorial page and click on "suggest any other correction or addition." Make sure you put your member # in the note.

I leave flowers when I visit a memorial and, lately, have been trying to remember to add my relationship. If there is a flower, I most likely have them/a relative in my database. Contact me to see if I have more information.

Question? Correction? Use the EDIT button and click "suggest any other correction or addition" (quickest way and private) or leave a public message. If I ask for your source, don't be offended: I want to add the source to my database.

Feel absolutely FREE to use tombstone photos I have taken but please ask before using personal/family photos that I own/have taken. I only ask proper attribution is given, i.e. "posted by Member #46910407 on Find A Grave" in case someone would like more info.

Mary M Talbot at Woodlawn
Hi,
I was entering photos I took at Woodlawn and noticed that you had entered a record for Mary M Talbot at Woodlawn. Someone had entered that individual prior to you with the last name spelled with 2 T's. I sent the creator a request to have the last name changed from Talbott to Talbot for the different family members (all the family was entered with 2 Ts).

I also noticed that on your record, Thomas D Talbot, Mary's spouse is buried at a different cemetery but there is a Thomas D that is at Woodlawn next to Mary M, however his Dates are 1847-1881.
I just wanted to bring this to your attention.
Thanks

RE: Dodge at Poe Cemetery, Cass Co., MI
Hi, Cherie,
I'm not related to the Dodge family, but I take a keen interest in those buried at Poe Cemetery because I have so many relatives in my Miller/Young(s) family tree buried there. I just happened to read about the Dodges and thought that I could help you out. It is fine to post my information. I am the family genealogist, so I enjoy posting all the information I have in the bios I write for Find a Grave. My great-great grandparents are buried at Poe - Sarah Catherine(Owen) and John Kirk Miller and Rachel Rebecca "Becky" (Fredricks) and Eli Young(s). I'm also related to all the Ederhards/Everharts buried there. This is all such fun!

Richard Allen
Cherie,

The record you sent for Richard Allen is not actually a death record it is a tombstone record. You will see this if you look at the record itself, which gives the date (not the location) of death and the name of the cemetery: West Street. The card was not made at the time when Richard Allen died, it was made on December 4, 1919, by the Fair Haven Town Clerk. Because so many vital records were lost to fire, in 1919 the State of Vermont mandated that the town clerks survey the cemeteries and copy the tombstones. (The death records from this early time are also cards, but they do not look like this and they do not indicate the cemetery.)

I realize that Richard Allen was living in Fair Haven in 1850 but the location of his death is not recorded, or the record was lost. So I would prefer not to add a location to this record.
