My genealogical journey began 6 years ago as I was moving my mother's clothes. I discovered an old newspaper article that substantiated an earlier finding I had made at my grandmother's house. The articles told a story of how my ancestors had come to Oklahoma from Florida over the historic Trail Of Tears and founded a small settlement called Brunertown. Since that time I have had a special affinity for African-Native American history. See www.seminolenation-indianterritory.org/benjamin_f_bruner_obituary.htm and www.seminolenation-indianterritory.org/caesar_bruner_freedman.htm and on www.African-nativeamerican.com the freedman burial grounds/Bruner/Turkeycreek/Rentie's|

You accidentally added his wife's headstone photo to his memorial. Did you take one for Merle?
Thanks for your work on findagrave :)

Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to go out and take photos for me. Appreciate seeing my cousins gravesite.
Charles, I appreciate the efforts you went through to try & locate Anna Dillinger's headstone (to discover the grave did not have one) but to also find her spouse's grave was marked, and then adding the photo. Harley was my husband's 2nd cousin. Thanks again for your help! Have a great day, Sue
