Your tombstone stands among the rest|
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you
It's so important to leave a bit of ourselves behind so that our descendants know who they are.

Darla, Thanks so much for the transfer. This family has been a major brick wall for quite some time. I'm finding making headway and want to link the family together and add bio info for others. Best Regards, Lynn

Darla, Hi! You made my day. You recently added some memorials and posted photos for several Esrangs in Gnaden Huetten Cemetery in Lehighton, PA. I've been looking for Ellen Esrang (nee Beaver) for quite some time. She's my husband's gg-grandmother. Her first husband, Charles Brown, is buried up in Bunker Hill Cemetery in Franklin Township. I'd love to add a few family connections. If you don't mind transferring her to me, I'll do it myself. If you prefer, I can send you the edits. Thanks for taking the time to add them. Best Regards, Lynn

Also Thank you for adding a grave picture of Aldervin and Harriet May. They were my great great grand parents, on my mothers side. Edwin was on my fathers side.
Thank you for adding a picture of Edwin's Grave.
He was my great grand uncle.

I went through Albert last week and did not find your Aton request. I did however find 3 other Atons and I added them and photos to the Albert Cemetery list if you are interested you can check there. I will also be adding some other Koons soon.

Parryville is in much better condition than some of the cemeteries I've tramped through. Check the Methodist Episcopal in Rockport:
I used the Pennsylvania Veterans' Burial Record as my source to locate the known Carbon County Civil War Vets. All are now posted on findagrave, and it's kind persons like yourself who will help preseve their memory. The stones are fading and so are the memories ... yes, that's the sad part.
I appreciate your help.
