I hope what I have entered has helped others to find what they are looking for in their search. I have just started researching family trees and had found "findagrave" site. What a wonderful site!! If you see any mistakes or errors in my postings,I'll make corrections. I take photos with a great deal of respect for those who have walked before us. If a family member objects to having a gravesite photo posted on Find A Grave, please let me know and I will remove it. Permission is granted to use any of my photographs for private use by family members. Please e-mail me with Find A Grave in Subject line.
I was wondering if you may know who his parents are. I have a Daniel Carmichael, born in Mississippi with the same birthdate. His children's names you have listed seem to fit the family.. The Daniel I'm looking for was in Clarke, Mississippi in 1850 living with his father Peter Carmichael (native of Scotland) and his mother Susan.
Peter had another son (John) I know of, as well as a few I've not found yet, which named their sons William, John, James, Daniel, etc. My fourth great-grandmother Lavinia Carmichael also passed down many of these family names.
Ancestry is what lead me here.. I found a Daniel Carmichael, born in MS 1833 that went from Clarke, to Choctaw Alabama, to Newton MS, to Greer, Oklahoma; but I've not yet settled on it being him yet as there were quite a few other Carmichael's in the areas- believably related who all carried a lot of the same names.

Altus Cemetery Dear Linda, Several of my corrections/suggestions have NOT been acknowledged. Are you active? Do you want to transfer memorials? Thank you for all your work......anxious to make family links.
RE: Carroll memorials in Jackson County, OK Welcome back & thank you for the transfers! I greatly appreciate it & will be making updates ASAP! If you have any Carroll family connection, please let me know. Mine is through the Winters. Thanks again:)
I don't know whether you have received my messages & emails over the past year or two re: memorials for M. L. Carroll, Coy Carroll, & Charles Carroll in Altus, Jackson, OK.
If you wish to transfer to me, I would be grateful as M.L. (father of Coy, who is father of Charles) m.Eliza Blanche Winters, daughter of Charley Lee Winters, brother to Billie C. Winters, my great-grandfather. I have lots to add on these & of course will transfer to any direct descendants should they inquire.
