|Linda Hight||Obituary for M. A. Aliff|
Thank you so much for sharing this obituary for my grandfather. I have tried internet searches for this to no avail. There were a couple of details in the obit that I did not know. Thanks again for sending this to me.

Hello Doris. My family owns land on Wilson's Creek in Wayne, WV, and there is a small family cemetery located on the property. I had never heard anyone mention the cemetery by name, and to my knowledge no one has visited the site for the past 40 years. There isn't easy access to the cemetery; you have to take a little hike up a rather steep hill. There are maybe a total of 6 or 8 individual graves. Only two graves currently have headstones with a name. The other graves are marked with rough, hand hewn stones at the head and base of the grave. I am not certain that this is the Stiltner Cemetery, but looking at the death records you posted for William and Geneva (Jeneva) Aliff, it certainly seems extremely likely.

I don't know anything about this cemetery.

My grandfather, William Sheridan Bone was a grandson of William Marion Bone.
William Marion Bone had two families - the first family was spelled as Bone and the second as Bowne. My grandfather was from the first set of children.
He was descended from Bone and Clay line.
As for the Pettry's, my grandmother was Dora Hester Pettry, married to William Sheridan Bone.
She is descended from Pettry's and Jarrell's.
Thank you for your consideration.
|D R Johnson||RE: Bone Transfers|
Alternate spelling on Bone was Bowne. William Sherman Bone, separated his first family from his second family by the spelling Bone versus Bowne.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Thanks!
|D R Johnson||Transfer Record Request|
Good evening Doris, I was wondering if you might be willing to transfer any memorials to me that are in the Bone and Pettry/Petry families? Your permissions does not allow me to be able to see what records you have on file so I am not sure if you have any records on these families; however, I am fairly positive based on genealogy I have worked on that we have many family members in common. Please contact and let me know. Thanks in advance!

You posted a photo of Josephine. Can you tell me anything about her. What Indian Tribe was she from?,maiden name, etc. Contributor, Joni #48355457
I've been helping my wife with her family tree and we see you have Janie Weltha Williams on here. This is her grandmother. Do you have anymore information you could pass along to us? Thank you!
I removed my picture from this memorial. I created a memorial with the name and dates that was on the stone but someone ask me to delete my memorial and add it to yours. I will try to find the message and see who it was.

I just noticed your message, sorry it's taken so long. I am not directly related but my husband is to the Hunt family. I can probably direct you to someone that could help you find the person you are looking for. Let me know thanks!
