A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!
Update: Married my best friend, My Ed, Oct 3, 2014 and am now officially a "new" person lol
PLEASE If you want to request a transfer or updates to memorials do that through the "edit" tab/suggest a correction!!!! When I have many many many edits/transfers/messages to read and answer it gets frustrating to have to look up the memorials for each request when if done correctly I can just click on the link included with the suggestion/edit...quicker for me to get it done for you :) :)
If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!
From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial.

Hi, so sorry about the duplicate. I usually search first, but perhaps since yours has the initials and I probably searched by full name I missed it.
I don't mind deleting mine at all. I actually was going to just transfer links and add the photo to yours when I realized that I don't manage his kid's memorials, so edits would have to be sent it. If you prefer to go that route, I am totally fine with it!
In the meantime, I did add the bio from yours to "mine". I can transfer the memorial to you (I am not related), or you can delete yours if you want. I am flexible either way. Just let me know! Thanks, :)Jessica
Colleen, thank you for your time and energy for your great
work and photography.
Your work does not go unnoticed

Awwww, thank you! I get frustrated when people make assumptions of where someone is buried, and create a memorial without knowing with some evidence that the person is buried there. That's when my "go back to bed" side comes out, and I've found it only a few times, once being recently on a cousin of mine. :) Also, I did get a defensive response one time, and that person has turned out to be a great colleague and electronic friend. It's nice to be nice.

You are welcome, and are all grave traipsers and genealogists crazy?? :) Have a wonderful day!!

Colleen, have I lately told you how much I appreciate all you do for FindAGrave and for the cemeteries in our area? Or have I ever told you this? You take wonderful photographs, and I can tell this is even more than a hobby for you - it seems that for you, it is an art. Thank you for helping to preserve our heritage. ~Elizabeth

There are so many limestone markets in this county that are smooth now. Its too bad. Sorry for you, I know you hoped for more.

I appreciate your posting the obit for a George Hicks on this site, unfortunately it is not for my great grandfather. The dates are all wrong, also he was not born in Indiana. I am sure that my info is correct as far as birth and place of birth. I have been to his hometown and visited with his family that still live in the Mt Vernon KY area. George was visiting in OK when he took ill and died. I am requesting that you remove the obit photo from the memorial. I can't since it was transferred to me.

That's kind of you - but I'd rather you have them. I didn't have the links for Nancy done yet anyway - she was my connection thru my Anderson family lines.
|Claire Ehrhart Abel||RE: Lulu Clark Anderson|
Ok - thought maybe they were related or ???
LOL -- we all goof up
