Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Riverside, Burlington County New Jersey and spent much of my first ten years there. My father died in WWII having never seen me. My step-father was in the Navy so we spent a lot of time traveling around. I graduated from high school at the Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, joined the Navy in 1961, came out to California in 1963 and have been here ever since. I have been married twice, have three children and eleven grandchildren. My second wife Sandy and I have known each other since we were five years old and have been married since 2006. I have been doing my family genealogy since 2010 and a member of Find A Grave for three+ years now.

If you see a picture of a gravestone I have taken and want to use it, by all means copy it and use as needed. If you see a family members memorial that I have created and you would like to manage it, just ask.

RE: Helen Oglesby
I scan Find A Grave pretty much every day for new entries with the Oglesby surname, then try to "flesh out" the facts (for instance, in many cases involving females the maiden name is not readily ascertainable from the headstone/cemetery entry, so I research the additional info). No need to transfer Helen to me, but you might consider transferring to Alvin Oglesby, who maintains many of the Oglesbys at Find A Grave.

Dean: Thank you for your e-mail and thank you for your help! As you can tell I'm new to the Find A Grave family; still have a lot to learn. I would be proud to take William Wallace and Irena Holly, was just recently able to visit their graves and their home in the Kern Co. Museum. The Old Union Cemetery where they are buried is beautiful and a real history lesson as well. Thank you again, Jerrie

What form of confirmation is required/needed/desired?
Let me know and I'll see what I can find. Or not.

Zuzu*s Petals
RE: Potters Field
Yes, I have done them and some others sporadically throughout Potter's Field. I had been working on it until my Mother's Alzheimer's got so bad that she couldn't be left alone. Since her death I have moved back home to Utah and am glad to see there is still work being done on it.

Cheers - Kathie

Wetherell - Calvary in Newmarket?
Hi Dean. I'm looking at your request for a photo of the Wetherell grave in Newmarket. I live in nearby Newfields, NH. You list the cemetery as "new market" and I wonder if you might mean the Calvary Cemetery in Newmarket. Do you happen to know if she was likely Catholic? If so, Cavary wod be a good place to check. If you learn that she was buried at Calvary in Newmarket, I can take a photo for you.

Dean,

Several years ago, I had someone attempt to get a picture of his tombstone only to be told by the cemetery office they needed a notarized letter from his ancestor that they were related. Do you think you can run with this?

I know he is a common Hirst ancestor for a lot of people, so it would assuredly be helpful to all.
