I will be happy to transfer a memorial to a relative (most of the time, your husband's great aunt may be an issue, or your 6th greatgrandmother who you share with 645 other descendents). I also give you permission to use any photos I take for other geneological purposes, such as posting on, etc. You do not have permission, however, to use it on a duplicate entry that you made.

Just a note on photos: Pictures taken at the National Cemetery were taken during overcast days, which works better with my camera. Also, if you want to see a larger picture, click on the Photos tab at the memorial and you can read the enlarged one.

As another side note about photos, I took many photos straight on and found my reflection in many of them. I had to delete those and retake them. This is true for black, grey and sometimes red stones. That is why I take photos from an angle. Also, the pictures uploaded have to be 750 KB or less (600 x 800), so they are small. I don't clean the stones.

This from FAQs:
Can I add an obituary to my interment listing?
You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published.
Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record.
Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright.
Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed.

William H Yerkes 1859-1943
Hi Rebecca - Would you consider uploading the photo you placed on the William H Yerkes page (Union Cemetery, Richboro, PA) on his wife's page too since they share a headstone?

She is Caroline "Carrie" Hogeland Yerkes, 1861-1962. Find A Grave Memorial# 142126912

Thanks for you consideration,

added info
another reason some could have went through is that after 30 days the edits automatically will be processed. I have been ill lately, I am disabled. I have been very behind on edits

Find A Grave Support has confirmed the transcription field should include things such as "Mother" "Rest in Peace", a poem, etc. It is not meant to include everything written on the stone. Dates, locations, names, should appear in the appropriate fields.

I only add military info, sayings, poems, bible verse, etc....

If one slipped by then I can only say it was mistakenly done. Also when doing edits when you send in transcriptions which includes everything on the marker, I am only adding into the transcription PART of what you send. Then I have to do it as a decline as the system is set up to add the whole part of what you send , and then am forced to choose from a drop down menu which really doesn't list what I need to say so I choose some generic one. Look and see for yourself what the choices are for a decline, they are not very conducive to what we may need to say

I am very sorry this upset you and you questioned it

Leon McCoy
Thank you Rebecca for taking the time for find Leon McCoy's marker. Even though all the pieces fit based on his stone, I'm still not convinced this Leon is who served in my unit in Vietnam. The search continues. CAN DO! Dave Schill US Navy Seabees.
