This site serves as a database so that present and future generations can find those they seek. It is used by professional genealogists, as well as amateurs, and is owned by Ancestry.com. If you've used Ancestry and found a link to Find A Grave, it is because of the work of many volunteers who pursue this endeavor with an earnest regard to preserve history for future generations. I was able to trace our family back 13 generations in America (arriving in 1633) with the aid of Ancestry and those who contribute to this site, and it is my desire to "pay it forward" by doing the same for others.|
Please keep in mind that this pursuit is completely done by VOLUNTEERS who spend countless hours in this dedicated effort. There is no need to feel offended if you find your relatives listed by a contributor, for that is the purpose of this site (after all, isn't that why you have come here?).
Please feel free to ask for a transfer if you find one of your relatives posted here by me (or any other contributor). Most folks will gladly transfer relatives to family members. Please state your relationship to the person in the listing and use the edit tab on the memorial to request the transfer. If you don't wish to manage the memorial, I will gladly add any biographical information you would like.
My primary focus at present lies in photo-documenting the final resting places veterans. I once found a poem written on a memorial for a young soldier and it stays with me. I believe it was originally from a speech at the conclusion of the Civil War. In part: "Nor shall your glory be forgot while Fame her record keeps; for honor marks the hallowed spot where valor proudly sleeps". I am privileged to preserve these markers for future generations.
History is made every day.

Hi: I added the information that you sent to me. I discovered that there is a duplicate of this memorial. The couple who added it entered it in 2014. I e-mailed them and asked them if they wanted to remove and I explained it to them. It's up to them now.
Have a Very Happy and Blessed Easter.
|Rosemarie Pena||Thank you!|

Thanks so much for your kind reply. It's most appreciated. It is a long shot the lady will darken your door, but I'm glad she's in your back pocket! Much of her family was Philadelphia based and ended up buried in NJ, so one never knows.

I have deleted my memorial and added his photo on your posting. Perhaps you could also change the spelling in the first paragraph of the memorial and add his middle name of Albert.

My uncle "John Dever # 121 484 038 " is under your management. Please transfer to my site, "Jim Ryan".
I paid a 5 dollar fee to stop advertising. I did not get any transfer of management. So not sure how that worked.
My name is Jim Ryan email@example.com.
I manage John's Wife Ann.
