My husband, John Kennedy & I started out visiting churches to make a picture of them and an over-all-view of their cemetery. John's sister told us about findagrave.com. We became interested.|
It is a wonderful site and we are trying to help others find their ancestors graves. Also we do not want to make mistakes as this will lead to someone going in the wrong direction to find the graves of their ancestors or loved ones.
If I have a monument photo, then the memorial I make is in that cemetery. I don't post memorials from other sources.
I am getting some request about some info I have added that someone says is wrong etc. The only things I have added, is through the edit button at top of my profile page. This has to be where the wrong info is coming from. Sorry.

Thank you, this is so helpful. And thank you for the kindness with the transfers. You are a wonderful contributor. I find you a lot as I have worked on the Wilkes County background.
Have sent updates for you to Zeno and Virgil Ray Handy. They are uncles in my family and are brothers to Clarence E. Handy who is buried at Mt. Lawn. Since it appears you do a great deal of research at Walnut Grove, I wondered if you could find out if their other brothers were buried there: Lawrence and Warren? Sorry I don't have dates for them, but can do more family research. Lawrence and Warren fought in the War with Virgil. Parents are Reavis Handy (the senior) and Sina Hall Handy. I didn't know if you had Church records going back or relied on cemetery. Thanks for all you have contributed and your help.

Carol can you please also remove the cemetery photo from #17855299.

Carol, can you please delete the cemetery photo on this obituary #17855288. He was moved from the 'Crouse' cemetery to the 'Robert Lee Crouse' cemetery where he is buried. I posted his headstone and a picture of the graveyard. There are a lot of duplicates and people put in the wrong cemeteries. I would appreaciate you assistance in this matter. I appreaciate all that you do.

Thank you Carol for making the corrections on Winnie Marinda "Rinda" Spicer.
I made the update on the birth and death dates for Edna Colen Edmiston Ferguson as requested by her granddaughter Cynthia. Edna's three brothers were already linked to her memorial.

Hi Carol, Yes that is the cemetery I was referring to. I was visiting it a few weeks ago after finding it listed on google earth as Truitt Cemetery. When I arrived there the caretaker, Ben, was mowing the grass. He took us to another cemetery in the woods down the road from there that you have to get to via 4 wheeler and a short hike. That cemetery contained mostly Spicers. But he also gave me a numbered map he had made of the Truitt/Joines cemetery and a list of of names and dates that correspond with the numbers on the headstones. He was super nice!

I was out visiting the Joines Cemetery in Traphill, NC this past weekend where I ran into the caretaker. It seems this cemetery has had several names over the past decades, one of which is Truitt. In fact, that's how I found it. I google earthed Truitt Cemetery and it brings up this piece of property, The guy who is the caretaker says it was also called Adams Cemetery at one time. Would you mind adding the Truitt Cemetery as an aka to the name of this cemetery? Thanks so much!

I thought the number was automatically included! Here is my contributor number: 47840881

I posted the information for Florence and linked her to her parents. Thanks for the information.
Also, do you know that you can put a memorial in Find A Grave for Wanda Dockery Gouker without a cemetery? You just use the box - ashes given to family. then you can link the memorial to her parents. I have done just that for my brother who was not buried.
