Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love to do genealogical research & photography, so becoming a volunteer photographer here was a natural choice. My own family names include Urquhart, Howland/Tilley, Alden/Mullens, Post, Collins, Whitney, etc.

**For those with Island ancestors or relatives, I recommend: http://history.vineyard.net/gene.htm as well as the "Martha's Vineyard Antique Photos" Facebook page, and the M.V. Museum and the M.V. Historical Society** Another one is the "Martha's Vineyard Antique Photos" page on Facebook which posts wonderful photos!

If I create a memorial for your ancestor and you'd like it transferred to you, (and it isn't one of my ancestors) I am generally happy to oblige. However, if I email you extra photos and you upload them to new or existing memorials, please note that I'm the photographer.

I am so grateful to others who have created memorials for my family, taken photos, etc.

P.S. I recommend this online date calculator tool:
http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html
If you have the date of death and the yr./mo./days of age, you can easily calculate the birth date.

Do you know of this place? I think it's near Tisbury - many of my family were born and died there . I searched the Masonic Lodge and many of the last names long ago were my family's. Trying to locate the direct line for my son - he will be Master of the Masonic Lodge next year at 23 yrs.

RE: Patrice I. Duvall
Needham Cemetery is very difficult to get in touch with. I lucked out last Veterans Day and actually found someone in the office who looked up some burials for me. He also let me take photos of the cemetery map, which is somewhat convoluted. I usually just wander the cemetery looking for burials and it may take me a couple of visits to find stones. Since Patrice's was flush to the ground, it was amazing that I found it. If you can provide me your email address, I can send you the jpg with a notation of where the burial is. I can also see it (roughly) on Google Maps ;-)

Emma Hart Urquhart #74900485
Hi Sunset-Emma is indeed the wife of William Urquhart, as it says she is his wife on their gravestone in the River view cem in Essex CT. Plus, she is his wife in the 1910 Census, living in Brooklyn NY. Irma

RE: Susan & Letitia Urquhart
Interesting. Trinity and St. Paul's have excellent records (which is how they knew they were there) and all of it is online. The area was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy but no new graves were uncovered that I know of. If nobody knows where they buried in the cemetery, which is quite large, you may want to remove the requests unless new information is found.

John B Collins and Hannah Hay[s]
Were they married on May 2,1832 at Portland, ME?

Also, there is an article that appeared in the Springfield Republican (MA) on Wed. Nov. 25, 1857 reporting that a "Capt John B Collins, formerly of the Liverpool merchant service, but of late years a proprietor in the Collins line of steamers, (of which his brother, E. K. Collins, is the chief,) died at New York city on Monday."

They have both a family monument and individual gravestones or markers (although the individual stones may be buried deep in the sod).

Prudence Temple Hubbard
I'm sorry, but I can't add Prudence as a wife of Samuel Hubbard unless I have a Find A Grave # for her, but I have added the information to Samuel's bio. Thank for providing the info.
