Bio and Links
Most of our information comes from Newspaper; Mortuaries or some type of historical Document.

A no marker means that we took it from a mortuary record and at time of burial no marker was placed at grave. A tombstone or marker may have been placed at a later date.

If we have contributor link listed; that data came as a request by someone after the original record was added.
We try to make changes as soon as we get the data but sometimes because of the number of requests we are backlogged. I have found requests in Spam mail. If we do not make the changes within a reasonable amount of time; please resend request and state 2nd request.
we try to check link requests before making changes if we dont have proof of relationship.
occasionally we have had requests to link wrong parents or spouses.

Please let us know if you see errors or typos.

We try to be accurate but sometimes it is late or we have trouble seeing a record or stone and sometimes we are just human and just cant type :) or read we appreciate all the people who spend their time working on the records. Hopefulliy this work will benefit generations to come.
Again please remember we are human and we do make mistakes. We do get a lot of requests for links; additional information and corrections,

What is a cenotaph? How do I have a memorial designated as a cenotaph?

A cenotaph is a tomb or a monument erected in honor of a person or group of persons whose remains are buried elsewhere. It can also be the initial marker for a person who has since been interred elsewhere.
To add a cenotaph, create a memorial just like any other. Then email with a link to the memorial and a message to mark it as a cenotaph.

also have to consider he may have been moved to be buried next to his wife when she died 23 years later. The cemeteries could probably give you the information. But only one memorial should be linked to Marie; right now it looks as if she had two spouses with the same name, Hoping Find A Grave will address this problem of linking when they recode. I have a cenotaph for a person who has two other memorials on the site, one an actual burial location and another which is also a cenotaph, and only the burial location memorial is linked to his parents.

thanks, Karyn

Keith & Linda, I cannot thank you enough for making the various "edit request" on the memorials of my Barnhill-Sarratt-Clary relations; who are buried in the Gaffney, South Carolina area. Happy New Year!

Hello. Please allow me to introduce myself.

I'm Steven Robertson, a descendant grandson of the late William Grady Robertson of Waynesville, NC.

I began our family genealogy research about four years ago primarily beginning on my mother's side. In 2014, I began my father's (Sherrill H. Robertson) ancestry. I've made some pretty good discoveries, but none perhaps as good as your input on My father knew enough basics about his grandfather's second marriage to Jo Alice Allen to get me started. However, for the longest time, I was getting no where fast.

In short, my hope is that you are actively using either the email provided or this website, moreover, you will reply. If I've reached the wrong Robertson family, please accept my apologies.

In any event, I wish your family a Happy New Year!

Steve Robertson
